Basis is a cloud-based financial planning and analysis platform from Digits. It is designed for startups, finance teams, executives, accounting firms, and fractional CFO practices that need connected budgeting, forecasting, modeling, reporting, and workforce planning. Its scope extends from annual operating plans and departmental budgets to rolling cash-flow forecasts, driver-based models, budget-versus-actual analysis, and multi-entity consolidation through connected accounting systems.

Pricing is structured across Essential, Growth, and Enterprise plans, with published starting pricing of 249. Essential includes an annual operating plan, a 3-statement financial model, an executive summary dashboard, two custom reports, one additional scenario plan, three reporting packages, and three custom modeling tables. Growth adds department classes and dimensions, five custom reports, two additional scenario plans, and eight reporting packages. Enterprise is intended for more customized deployments, with custom numbers of accounting, HR, and CRM integrations, premium NetSuite ERP data integration, custom numbers of reports, scenario plans, and modeling tables, plus unlimited Basis Care.

Integration breadth is a central part of the product. Available connections include QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Wave, Zoho Books, ADP, Workday, BambooHR, Gusto, HubSpot, and Zoho CRM. This supports planning across finance, sales, and workforce data rather than keeping FP&A work separate from operating systems. Granular permissions also support collaborative planning, while dashboards and reporting packages give executives and departments different views of performance. Basis should suit SMBs seeking a broad planning system with workforce and operational connections. Teams wanting desktop access, a free entry point, or a narrowly focused budgeting tool should look elsewhere.
