Baidu Translate is a multilingual translation service for individuals, developers, and organizations. It combines web and desktop translation with mobile apps, browser translation, document and image translation, speech translation, video subtitle translation, domain-specific translation, and translation APIs. With support for more than 200 languages and nearly 40,000 translation directions, it is aimed at teams managing varied content across platforms rather than users who only need occasional text translation.
The published plans show four paid tiers. Team requires a 5-user minimum and includes 300万 AI characters per user, 200+ languages for machine translation, plus AI simultaneous interpretation and video translation allowances. Enterprise Basic requires 10 users and provides 350万 AI characters per user, enterprise member allocation, and knowledge-center features. Enterprise Standard requires 15 users and raises the allowance to 600万 AI characters per user, with enhanced enterprise controls and customer-success service. Enterprise Premium uses custom pricing and includes unlimited AI translation, machine translation, and AI audio/video translation. The plans are designed for annual billing and per-user usage, while the consumer web and app offerings are presented separately.
Platform coverage is a central strength: Baidu Translate is available on the web, Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, as a Chrome extension, and through an API. Its strongest fit is a multilingual organization that needs formatting preservation, terminology management, translation memory, collaborative editing, knowledge management, and AI-assisted translation in one broader workflow. Teams can also handle camera translation, webpage translation, text selection translation, speech, simultaneous interpretation, and video subtitles. Smaller teams seeking only straightforward text translation may find this scope unnecessary; organizations needing shared language assets and enterprise collaboration should consider it.
