Avaloq review
A broad core banking platform for complex, multi-entity financial institutions.

Avaloq is a core banking and wealth management platform for banks, wealth managers, investment managers, retail banks and neobanks. Its coverage spans client management, investment management, trading, lending and credit, payments, treasury, risk, compliance, data analytics and integrations. The platform is suited to institutions operating across multiple markets and legal entities, with web and mobile digital banking experiences alongside API access.
Its strongest differentiator is breadth across the banking operating model. Lending and credit capabilities run from initiation through ongoing risk management, while payments support multiple markets and protocols. Treasury, accounting, risk management and regulatory reporting are included in the core scope. Multi-entity, single-instance deployment supports multiple entities and booking centres, and data streaming is intended for near-real-time decisioning systems. Open Banking APIs include PSD2 and Open Wealth, giving Avaloq a defined fit for institutions connecting external services and regulated banking workflows.
Avaloq is offered through cloud-based SaaS, on-premises software and business process as a service models, represented as a hybrid deployment approach. Pricing is contact-sales rather than a published standard plan structure, so procurement requires a direct commercial discussion. Large, complex banks and other financial institutions that need broad operational coverage, multi-entity support and regulatory capabilities should shortlist it. Smaller institutions with narrower requirements may prefer a more focused core banking product with simpler scope and more transparent pricing.
