AuthControl Sentry review
A flexible MFA platform for organizations needing specialized factors and hybrid deployment.

AuthControl Sentry is a multi-factor authentication platform from Swivel Secure for enterprises and other organizations securing cloud and on-premise applications. It combines multi-factor authentication with single sign-on, risk-based authentication policies and a user self-service portal. Supported factors include mobile push, one-time codes, OATH, SMS, image authenticators such as TURing, PINpad and PICpad, fingerprint authentication, voice approval and hardware tokens. Its hybrid deployment model suits organizations that need self-hosted control alongside access to cloud applications.
Pricing is organized around two licensing models. On-Premise provides perpetual licensing with per-user pricing and starts from 10 users. Cloud uses subscription licensing with per-user pricing and no upfront costs. Both plans use quote-based purchasing, so the main choice is between perpetual on-premise deployment and subscription-based cloud delivery. Organizations should match the licensing model to their preferred operating environment, procurement approach and user volume. Buyers wanting a smaller deployment should pay particular attention to the On-Premise minimum.
Integration breadth is centered on enterprise authentication standards and named business platforms. Applications can connect through RADIUS, ADFS, SAML or Swivel Secure’s AgentXML API, with listed integrations including Office 365, Salesforce and Cisco. The combination of protocol support and specialized factors makes Sentry a strong fit for organizations with varied application environments or requirements beyond app-based codes. It is less suitable for buyers seeking transparent self-service pricing, a small-deployment starting point, or open-source software. Choose it when factor flexibility and hybrid access control matter most.
