Aura Parental Controls helps parents manage children’s online activity across Windows, iOS, and Android. Its core tools include website and app blocking, content and SafeSearch filtering, screen-time limits, recurring schedules, internet pausing, and browsing or usage reports. The product is aimed at families that want everyday controls over access, time, and online activity, with a particular focus on game-safety insights through Safe Gaming by Kidas in supported PC games.

Pricing is split between Kids and Family plans. The Kids plan costs $10 per month with annual billing or $13 per month with monthly billing. It includes unlimited kids, unlimited devices, filtering and site blocking, screen-time controls, reports, and Safe Gaming by Kidas. The Family plan costs $32 per month with annual billing or $50 per month with monthly billing. It includes five adults, unlimited kids and devices, parental controls, identity protection, antivirus, VPN, and a password manager. A 14-day free trial is available, while the product otherwise uses paid plans.

The standout distinction is the combination of standard parental controls with cyberbullying and predator alerts in supported PC games, plus daytime and nighttime activity insights. That makes Aura a relevant choice for families whose concerns include gaming communications as well as browsing and screen time. It is less suited to parents who specifically need location tracking, since that capability is not included, or to households seeking a free option. Choose the Kids plan when child-focused controls are the priority; choose Family when adults also want identity and broader device-security features.

    • There is no free plan
    • Location tracking is not included
    • Family plans cost more and add broader security features beyond controls
