Arrow to the Build is a free, open-source Windows desktop companion for The Elder Scrolls Online. It is designed for players who want to plan characters before or during progression, organize detailed builds, and keep related information in one local application. Its scope extends from skill unlocks and Champion Points to equipment targets, action bars, rotations, companions, variants, and loadouts, making it suitable for detailed ESO build planning rather than a narrow skill-tree reference.

The planning depth is the main reason to consider it. Character progression tracking works alongside skill, passive, morph, and prerequisite planning, while Champion Point routes and constellation planning cover another major part of ESO development. Equipment stages, gear targets, traits, and enchants help structure upgrades over time. The visual build editor adds import, validation, revisions, and export, so players can compare or refine builds instead of treating a build as a static checklist. Action bars, rotations, companions, variants, and loadouts broaden the planner beyond basic theorycrafting.

Arrow to the Build also emphasizes local control. It works offline, stores character and build data locally, and supports human-readable JSON backups and build files. Optional synchronization with a bundled Elder Scrolls Online addon can provide character snapshots, while the open-source model gives the project a transparent foundation. The trade-off is platform scope: it runs on Windows and has no mobile app. Release labels are also currently out of sync, with v3.1.1 identified on the homepage and v2.2.0 displayed on the linked GitHub release page. Choose it for comprehensive ESO planning on Windows; choose an alternative if mobile access or a simpler, narrower planner matters more.
