Angel One is an Indian investing and trading platform for individuals with a Demat and trading account. It supports equities, mutual funds, IPO applications, commodities, derivatives, currency, ETFs, bonds, government securities and sovereign gold bonds. Web, iOS and Android access are available, along with an API platform option. The service suits retail investors who want multiple Indian asset classes, portfolio monitoring and recurring SIP options in one account.
Account opening is free, while trading, account maintenance and other transactions may incur charges. Published pricing is transaction-based rather than a conventional recurring subscription, and the amount depends on the service, plan and account conditions. Investors can choose Regular, BSDA, NRI, minor or joint Demat account types. Mutual-fund SIPs and recurring stock SIPs are available, with stock SIPs linkable to a bank mandate for automatic fund transfers. This structure fits users who prefer paying for activity and account services instead of a monthly software fee.
The platform’s breadth is its central strength: users can combine market access with portfolio analysis by market capitalization, sector and top holdings, while an in-app AI chat assistant provides stock information, IPO details and account support. It is a practical fit for self-directed investors building exposure across Indian securities. However, managed-portfolio automated investing is not part of the offering, and the product remains centered on Demat-based investing in Indian markets. Choose Angel One for broad retail trading and tracking; consider an alternative if you need managed automation or a narrowly specialized API experience.
