Anchorpoint is a desktop Git-based version control and digital asset management application for game studios, artists, designers, and creative teams. It is designed for projects with large binary assets, offering Git LFS support, file locking, selective checkout, asset previews, annotations, approvals, and reviews. Production files remain in a Git repository or shared storage, while Anchorpoint synchronizes project metadata. The application runs on Windows and macOS and supports cloud-hosted or self-hosted metadata deployments.

Pricing is structured around use case and team size. The Personal plan is free for non-commercial, single-user work and includes Git version control with GitHub, local Git repositories, a file browser, and a Python API. The Team plan costs €20 per user per month with annual billing or €25 per user per month with monthly billing. It adds Git version control with every provider, file locking, selective checkout, approvals, tags, notes, and attributes. A 14-day free trial is available. The Education plan costs €1,999 per year and includes full Team plan functionality for teaching use. Organization adds self-hosting for metadata, SSO with self-hosting, security assessments, custom payment options, onboarding and consulting, and custom integrations.

Its strongest fit is a game pipeline centered on Unity or Unreal, where large repositories, binary files, and concurrent editing need dedicated controls. Unity integration includes in-editor commits and lock visibility; Unreal integration includes locks and in-editor workflows. Godot, GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Gitea, Bitbucket, Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Nextcloud, and NAS are also supported. Teams can connect their existing Git providers or shared storage rather than moving production files into a separate repository. Choose Anchorpoint when engine workflows and asset coordination matter; smaller non-commercial solo projects can stay on Personal, while teams needing platforms beyond Windows or macOS should consider alternatives.
