Our verdict on AMC+
AMC+ brings on-demand series and movies together with live TV channels, with programming from AMC and brands including Shudder, Sundance Now and IFC Films Unlimited. It suits viewers who want those networks in one subscription and value live channels alongside a streaming library. The service is paid, with a 7-day trial and a monthly ad-supported option. It is available through web and mobile apps, as well as supported televisions and streaming devices.
According to the published plans, Monthly with Ads costs $7.99 per month. Monthly Premium is $10.99 per month, while Annual Premium costs $109.99 per year. Premium adds ad-free viewing, with stated exclusions, and downloads for eligible titles. The annual plan also includes those premium features. The annual price and availability may vary by subscription channel or region, so compare the offer where you plan to subscribe. Choose the ad-supported monthly tier if the lower listed monthly price matters more than ad-free viewing or downloads; choose Premium if those features fit your viewing habits.
AMC+ can also be accessed through Prime Video Channels, Apple TV Channels and The Roku Channel, as well as selected streaming partners and TV providers. A partner subscription may need to be watched through that partner’s app or service, rather than directly through AMC+. Mobile casting to a TV is supported through Chromecast and AirPlay. The main trade-off is that the premium benefits have limits: ad-free viewing has exclusions and downloads apply only to eligible titles. AMC+ is a sensible fit for fans of its included brands who want both on-demand viewing and live TV; viewers seeking a free service or unrestricted ad-free access should consider another option.
