Our verdict on Alloy
Alloy is an AI-assisted prototyping platform for product teams working from existing digital products. A browser extension captures product experiences, while codebase connectivity can provide another starting point. Teams can then generate and refine high-fidelity prototypes with natural-language prompts and visual editing. The resulting prototypes support responsive mobile and tablet views, public or private sharing, email invitations, comments, and feedback. Alloy is particularly suited to AI product teams that need to explore changes to a live product and involve stakeholders or users before implementation.
Pricing is structured around three plans. The Free plan costs $0 per month and includes unlimited users, sessions, and viewers, external sharing, and 30+ integrations. Pro costs $20 per user per month when billed monthly and adds workspace credit top-ups, code export, and early access to new features. Enterprise includes the Pro features plus API access, an account manager, custom terms, and SAML + SCIM, with custom pricing. The integration set covers tools including Dovetail, Linear, Notion, Productboard, Jira, Figma, Asana, ClickUp, Google Docs, monday.com, and Trello, giving Alloy a practical fit within product discovery, planning, design, and delivery workflows.
The standout capability is the path from captured product page to editable prototype, combining AI generation with visual refinement rather than starting from a blank canvas. Sharing, commenting, user testing, workspace roles, and shared access support collaborative review, while Figma and React export can help move approved concepts toward implementation. Codebase sessions and pull-request workflows extend that process for teams connecting prototypes to engineering work. Alloy is a good choice when prototyping should stay close to an existing product and its delivery workflow. Teams seeking a narrower visual mockup tool, or organizations requiring completed SOC 2 Type II compliance, should consider alternatives.
