AI Stories review
A free iPhone app for browsing, playing, and creating branching interactive stories.

AI Stories is a free iPhone app from Kawaii, Incorporated for people who want to browse, play, and create interactive fiction. Its library spans fantasy, romance, science fiction, horror, mystery, and adventure, giving readers multiple genres to explore. Stories unfold turn by turn, with user choices shaping personal paths rather than following a single fixed narrative. The app also includes user-generated content, so its appeal extends beyond consuming stories to sharing and making them.
The strongest part of the product is its combination of discovery and participation. Genre-based browsing helps users find scenarios, while branching narratives make each choice part of the reading experience. Users can create their own story paths and share stories with others, and AI-powered image generation adds a visual element to the interactive format. This makes AI Stories a natural fit for readers who enjoy exploring scenarios, influencing outcomes, and contributing their own ideas.
Its main trade-off is focus. AI Stories is distributed for iOS, so it suits iPhone users but not people looking for broader platform coverage. It also centers on interactive stories, turn-based play, and user choices, making it less appropriate for readers who primarily want conventional linear books or a wider range of story formats. Choose it if you want a free, mobile-first way to discover and make branching stories; look elsewhere if cross-platform access or non-interactive reading is a priority.
