AGR Dynamics Demand Planning is a cloud-based planning layer within AGR’s inventory management platform, aimed at wholesalers, retailers, and manufacturers. It is especially relevant to smaller and mid-market ERP users who want item-level forecasts connected to replenishment rather than a standalone forecasting workflow. Historical sales data feeds best-fit statistical forecasts; users can compare forecasts with actuals, plan by customer group, and adjust for seasonality, promotions, and new product launches.

The feature tiers split forecasting and operational depth across four named plans. Inventory IQ includes monthly item forecasts, inventory reports, purchase and transfer orders, basic order constraints, and item-level safety stock control. PlanPro adds weekly forecasts per item, customer-group planning, seasonality and item-trend forecasting, and stockout bridging. OrderPro focuses on order execution, with a scheduled order calendar, unusual-order flags, generated proposals, bill of material calculations, comprehensive constraints, and advanced safety stock policies. InsightsPro is oriented to reporting, including supply-chain KPIs, lead-time analysis, shareable purchasing plans, and computed report columns. AGR directs buyers to request its price list, so plan amounts are not presented alongside these features.

ERP fit is central to the product: AGR says it imports sales, stock, and purchasing data, then returns approved purchase orders to the ERP. Named integrations include Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Dynamics NAV, Dynamics AX / Finance & Operations, SAP, Visma, Sage, Infor M3, IFS, Epicor, Jeeves, Concorde, OrderWise, and QuickBooks; AGR lists 30 integrations overall. The product is web-based and cloud-deployed, with chat and documentation support. Choose it if your ERP is supported and forecasts need to feed purchasing decisions; consider alternatives if you need another deployment model or want pricing before speaking with sales.

AGR Dynamics Demand Planning pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • Builds item-level statistical forecasts from historical sales data
    • Tests promotional uplifts and adjusts for seasonality and product launches
    • Connects forecasts to replenishment and approved ERP order write-back
  • Where it doesn't
    • Pricing requires contacting sales for a price list
    • The published plans divide forecasting and ordering features across tiers
    • Cloud deployment and web access may not fit teams needing other deployment options
