ADP Workforce Now is a cloud HR, payroll and workforce management platform for midsize and enterprise organizations. ADP positions it for organizations with 50–999 employees and for enterprises with 1,000 or more employees. For churches with complex staffing structures, it brings employee and talent profiles, onboarding with electronic Form I-9 workflows, paid-time-off tracking, performance reviews, time entry, scheduling, reporting and employee self-service into one system. Web, iOS, Android and API access support office, mobile and connected workflows.

The published plans use a contact-sales pricing model. Select includes the payroll and HR suite. Plus includes Select and adds benefits administration. Premium includes Plus and adds Time and Attendance. That progression gives churches a clear way to match the package to their administrative scope: Select covers the core suite, Plus expands into benefits, and Premium adds time management. Some capabilities, including onboarding, performance management and time tracking, may depend on the selected modules or package configuration.

Its main strength is breadth. Beyond payroll, the platform covers HR recordkeeping, new-hire workflows, PTO approvals, goals, reviews, recurring schedule templates, organization charting and customizable workforce reports. Employees can access self-service features through mobile, while ADP API Central supports integrations involving employee, onboarding, PTO and time data. Churches seeking a unified system for enterprise HR operations should consider it; teams that want a narrower payroll-focused tool may prefer a more specialized option with less HR scope.

ADP Workforce Now pros and cons

    • Browser, mobile, time clock and kiosk time entry options
    • API-based integrations for employee, onboarding, PTO and time data
  • Where it doesn't
    • Built for midsize and enterprise organizations rather than smaller churches
    • Broad HR scope may exceed the needs of payroll-only teams
    • Pricing requires a contact-sales conversation
