Acumatica Construction Edition is a cloud-based ERP for general contractors, specialty contractors, home builders, land developers, and other construction businesses. It brings financial management, job cost accounting, project management, billing, purchasing, subcontract management, compliance, payroll, reporting, and mobile field access into one product. Web, iOS, Android, and API access support office, field, and connected software workflows. It is best suited to mid-market contractors that need broad project control rather than a narrowly focused accounting tool.

The accounting and project controls cover the core requirements of construction finance. Users can manage project budgets, cost projections, budget-versus-actual analysis, real-time project cost tracking, progress billing, billing rules, and retainage across payables, commitments, receivables, and pro forma invoices. Purchase orders, subcontracts, project commitments, change orders, change requests, and vendor commitment adjustments extend the financial view beyond the general ledger. AIA billing, construction reporting, configurable dashboards, KPIs, and profitability reporting add depth for teams that need operational and financial visibility together.

Field and ecosystem coverage are meaningful differentiators. Daily field reports, RFIs, submittals, drawing logs, photo logs, compliance documents, automated notifications, and mobile time, expense, project, and field access connect project activity with back-office records. Published integrations include Procore, Excel, BuildingConnected, ProEst, CFMA Benchmark, DocuSign, Adobe eSign, Microsoft Office 365, SmartSheet, and Criterion. AI features are included, and the product has been offered by Acumatica since 2008. Pricing is consumption-based and varies by applications, transaction volume, and computing resources, with sales handled through partners. Choose it for an integrated construction ERP with advanced job costing and field coordination; choose an accounting-only product if that wider scope is unnecessary.
