abas ERP is an enterprise resource planning system for mid-sized manufacturing companies. It brings together material requirements planning, automated procurement or production suggestions, purchasing, production planning and control, capacity management, inventory, sales, finance, service, quality management and reporting. Its manufacturing coverage includes one-off, repetitive, project, contract and subcontract production, making it suited to established organizations with varied operational models and complex product structures.

Planning depth is a central strength. abas ERP supports multi-level bills of materials, production lists, work-order control, scheduling, capacity planning, bottleneck identification and finite-capacity simulation. It also supports both demand inputs and multi-site planning, with master-data and transaction-data exchange between sites. These capabilities give manufacturers a broader planning model than a basic purchasing or inventory tool, particularly when production constraints and interconnected operations need to be considered together.

The ecosystem fit is also broad. Integrations cover CRM, CAD, PDM, PLM, MES, DMS, warehouse management systems, IoT devices and machines, EDI and Shopware. Integration tools, a REST API, connectors, EDI and machine connectivity support connections with business and shop-floor systems. The product is available as a cloud edition with web-client access, backups, patches and monitoring, or through on-premise deployment. Pricing is handled through contact with sales, while implementation costs vary according to users, business-process complexity, data migration, functions and customizations. Choose abas ERP when manufacturing planning, production control and connected industrial processes need one wider system; consider a narrower MRP product when those requirements are simpler.
