Our verdict on 22 Skills
22 Skills is a browser-based resume builder and job-application workspace for people who want to tailor resumes to specific openings and keep applications organized. It can build a resume from scratch or import a PDF or Word file into editable sections, then export an ATS-safe, single-column PDF. Its job-specific scoring, keyword guidance, and application tracking make it a fit for active job seekers managing multiple applications, rather than people looking only for a static resume template.
Its strongest distinction is the workflow connecting resume content to job listings. ATS match scoring shows matched and missing keywords, while AI rewriting can revise resume sections and integrate relevant terms. Users can create versions linked to individual jobs, track application statuses, and set follow-up reminders. A Chrome extension saves and scans postings from LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, and company career pages; AI cover-letter generation is also included among the features. This breadth is useful when tailoring is part of a repeated search process, though job seekers who only need a one-off document may not need the tracking and extension.
The Free plan costs nothing and includes the builder, an ATS match score, and basic improvement suggestions. Pro is $14.99 per month and adds unlimited scans, an AI resume rewriter, ATS optimization tools, and multiple resume versions. Career Boost is a separate $67 one-time package with unlimited scans, an AI optimizer, cover-letter and LinkedIn profile optimizers, and an ATS report; the description identifies its tools as providing 30-day access. The product runs on the web and as a Chrome extension, with email support. Choose it for ATS-focused tailoring and application organization; consider a simpler builder if you do not need those job-search features or prefer a mobile app.
