Playmates Toys’ Dungeon Crawler Carl collection was scheduled to be shown at New York Comic Con on October 8–9, 2026. It includes Princess Donut plush in two sizes, articulated figures, and separate blind-purchase loot boxes. The plush and blind boxes are different products: Playmates describes the boxes as containing a mystery Princess Donut figure, not a mystery plush.
What Playmates was scheduled to show at NYCC
New York Comic Con ran October 8–11, 2026. Previews published before the event said Playmates would display its Dungeon Crawler Carl collection on Thursday and Friday, October 8–9. The listed products included Princess Donut plush, loot boxes, and articulated figures. The previews establish the planned display, not a post-event inventory of what was ultimately on view. The Toy Book’s October 7 preview and The Pop Insider’s October 1 preview both described the Thursday–Friday display.
Princess Donut plush comes in two sizes
Playmates’ February 13, 2026 product announcement lists deluxe Princess Donut plush in 8-inch and 12-inch versions, with many of the character’s iconic accessories. The announcement lists the plush separately from its blind-purchase loot boxes, so the available information does not establish that either plush size is itself blind-boxed. Playmates’ product announcement is the source for the sizes and announced contents.
What the blind loot boxes contain
The separately named Dungeon Crawler: World Earth Loot Boxes are the blind-purchase items. Playmates says each contains a mystery Princess Donut figure and one to four related accessories; the announcement also describes bronze, silver, and gold variant opportunities. Those contents distinguish the loot boxes from the plush: buyers should expect a figure-and-accessories collectible, not a plushie.

Which articulated figures are in the first wave?
Playmates’ first wave of six-inch, fully poseable Collectible Crawlers includes Mordecai, Prepotente, and Carl. Carl’s figure has Princess Donut seated on his shoulder by a magnet. The figures also come with interchangeable hands and heads and character-specific accessories, according to Playmates’ announcement.
Release timing and where to look
Playmates announced a fall 2026 rollout through select specialty retailers. In an August 28, 2026 update, author Matt Dinniman named Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, Urban Outfitters, Hot Topic, BoxLunch, and Five Below among retailers carrying the merchandise, and said it would appear gradually. That timing means a particular store may not yet have stock; the update does not establish an Amazon listing. See Dinniman’s August 28 update for the retailer and rollout context, and check individual retailers for current availability.

Other Princess Donut collectibles are a separate line
Renegade Game Studios has also listed tabletop merchandise for a November 2026 release window: a nine-piece, prepainted Royal Court miniatures set that includes Princess Donut, and a Princess Donut RPG dice set. These are related licensed products, but they are not part of Playmates’ NYCC toy display. Details are on the Royal Court miniatures listing and the Princess Donut dice listing.
How big is the franchise?
Playmates’ February 2026 announcement described Dungeon Crawler Carl as a seven-book series and said more than six million copies had sold since its 2020 debut. That sales figure is Playmates’ company-published claim; the cited sources do not independently audit it.
