The Primebook 2 Max is worth considering if your work mostly happens in a browser, documents, email, streaming services, and Android apps. It runs PrimeOS, based on Android 15—not Windows—so it is not a straightforward substitute for a Windows laptop. Its Cloud PC feature provides remote access to Windows or Linux environments, but that is different from running desktop software locally and depends on the service and your connection.
The hardware looks suited to light computing, with a 15.6-inch Full HD display and 8GB of RAM. Independent reviewers describe it as capable for everyday tasks but note software rough edges and limitations for heavier or Windows-dependent work. Check the live listing for the exact configuration and price before buying; the available official listings have shown conflicting prices.
What the Primebook 2 Max is—and who it suits
The Primebook 2 Max is an Android-based laptop designed to make Android apps and web-based work more comfortable on a larger screen, with a keyboard, trackpad, taskbar, and windowed interface. It is a plausible choice for students or other users whose routine consists of web apps, documents, email, video, and lightweight Android workflows.
It is a less suitable choice if you depend on desktop Windows applications, need substantial local computing power, or regularly handle sustained heavy workloads. Indian Express reviewer Anuj Bhatia called it a “practical alternative,” rather than a Windows PC replacement, and reported that Cloud PC did not deliver the same experience as a Windows PC. 91mobiles likewise advised heavy users to stick with a conventional Windows laptop. These are reviewers’ use impressions, not controlled benchmark results. Indian Express review; 91mobiles review.

PrimeOS, Android apps, and Cloud PC
PrimeOS is the installed operating system
PrimeOS is based on Android 15. Its laptop-style interface is intended to make Android apps more practical with a keyboard, trackpad, taskbar, and windows. That can work well when the apps you need are available and behave properly in this environment. It does not mean the laptop has a native Windows installation or can run every Windows application.
Cloud PC is remote access, not local Windows
Primebook describes Cloud PC as a way to access remote Windows or Linux environments. It requires activation or a subscription, according to the manufacturer, and its usefulness depends on service terms, availability, internet quality, and latency. Before relying on it for work or study, verify the current subscription cost and whether your required apps and files work as expected. Cloud access should not be treated as equivalent to installing Windows on the laptop. Primebook official site; Primebook FAQ.

Everyday performance and limits
Where it makes sense
For browser-based tasks, documents, email, streaming, and lightweight Android apps, reviewers found the Max a credible everyday option. The larger display and laptop input devices are useful if you want a more conventional workspace than a phone or tablet can provide. Indian Express described it as fast enough for general productivity and noted decent ergonomics, while also pointing to rough software areas and a need for better app support.
Where to be cautious
Do not buy it on the assumption that it will behave like a standard Windows laptop. App availability and compatibility matter, and Cloud PC is a remote service rather than native desktop software support. Reviewers’ caution about heavy workloads is particularly relevant if your work requires sustained processing, specialist desktop software, or dependable offline access. 91mobiles also reported scuffs or paint wear as a concern on its reviewed unit; that observation does not establish how every unit will hold up. Battery life: treat the claims as estimates
Primebook’s FAQ lists up to 12 hours of battery life for the Max, dependent on usage. Separately, Primebook’s summary of Mashable journalist Ayush Chourasia’s review says his screen-on time reached “up to 10 hours.” That is a reviewer-reported result for his usage, not a standardized battery test or a runtime guarantee. Your results will vary with workload, settings, connectivity, and other conditions. Primebook FAQ; Primebook’s Mashable review summary.
Price and buying checks
There is no reliable single price to quote from the captured official pages: Primebook’s homepage showed ₹22,990, its store catalog showed ₹32,990, and its summary of the Mashable review showed ₹30,990. Those listings conflict, and the available evidence does not explain why. Treat them as dated page snapshots, not a current offer; check the live product page, selected configuration, taxes, and checkout total before deciding. Before placing an order, confirm the points that affect your own use:
- The listed RAM, storage, and other specifications for the exact Max configuration.
- That your essential apps are available and usable on PrimeOS, or that Cloud PC supports your required workflow on acceptable terms.
- The current price and included accessories. The official catalog showed a USB-C charger accessory as sold out when captured, so check current availability rather than assuming it can be purchased there.
- The return, warranty, and service terms on the seller’s current listing.
Should you buy the Primebook 2 Max?
Consider it if you want a large-screen laptop form factor for browser work, documents, email, media, and Android apps, and you are comfortable using Android as the local operating system. Choose a conventional Windows laptop instead if native Windows applications, demanding workloads, or a familiar offline desktop environment are essential. The deciding question is not just whether the hardware looks suitable; it is whether PrimeOS and the Cloud PC service can handle the specific apps and tasks you rely on.
