No: Prime Video Monday Night Hockey is not the package returning in fall 2026. It returned for the 2025–26 NHL season, beginning October 13, 2025. For fall 2026, Prime Video’s announced Canadian NHL package is Wednesday Night Hockey, which starts September 30.
When did Prime Video Monday Night Hockey return?
The 2025–26 season’s Monday package began on October 13, 2025, with a Thanksgiving doubleheader: Toronto hosted Detroit at 4 p.m. ET, followed by Vancouver hosting St. Louis at 7:30 p.m. ET. The NHL’s July 23, 2025 schedule announcement said the games streamed live in English exclusively on Prime Video, at no additional cost to Prime members in Canada.

That package covered the 2024–25 and 2025–26 regular seasons. The NHL introduced it in April 2024 as an exclusive Canadian package of national Monday regular-season games, in English, and described it as the league’s first exclusive national broadcast package with a digital-only streaming service in Canada.

Prime Video also acquired exclusive Canadian rights to two First Round playoff series and one Second Round series per year.

Where do Monday NHL games go in 2026–27?
The NHL’s July 2026 rights announcement says Sportsnet holds exclusive English-language rights to more than 500 national NHL games per season, including Monday and Saturday nights. The stated exception is selected playoff series sublicensed to Prime Video. That means Prime Video’s new regular-season national package is Wednesday, not a continuation of its former Monday package.
