Which iPad deal fits your needs?
Apple’s lineup includes iPad Pro, iPad Air, iPad, and iPad mini. Choose by the work you expect the tablet to do, rather than treating the lowest headline price as the best value.

For everyday use: iPad (A16)
At the reported deal price, the 128GB Wi-Fi iPad is the least expensive option here. It suits common tablet uses such as browsing, streaming, schoolwork, and everyday tasks. Macworld says this model does not support Apple Intelligence, so that limitation matters if access to those features is part of your decision.
For a compact tablet: iPad mini (A17 Pro)
The mini is the portability-first choice among these models. Its reported $499 price is for the 128GB Wi-Fi version; compare like-for-like if you need more storage or cellular connectivity. A possible replacement has been forecast in deal coverage, but that is not a confirmed Apple announcement.

For a general-purpose full-size tablet: iPad Air (M4)
The Air occupies the middle ground between the entry iPad and Pro. The reported 11-inch and 13-inch prices are for 128GB Wi-Fi models, with a $200 difference between those two configurations. Consider whether the larger screen is worth the added cost for your reading, multitasking, drawing, or media use.
Recommended Free Tools
For demanding creative or professional work: iPad Pro (M5)
The Pro is the premium tier and costs substantially more than the other models listed. Macworld reported $1,099 for the 11-inch 256GB model and $1,399 for the 13-inch 256GB model, but the discount depends on configuration. Pay the premium only if the Pro’s performance and display advantages matter to your particular work.

Compare the complete configuration, not just the headline price
- Storage: The prices above are for 128GB models except the Pro examples, which are 256GB. Compare the same capacity when judging value.
- Connectivity: The listed A16, mini, and Air examples are Wi-Fi models. Cellular configurations can cost more and require a data plan; check the device price and carrier charges together.
- Screen size and portability: The mini favors compactness, while the 11-inch and 13-inch models provide larger screens. Choose based on where and how you use the tablet.
- Accessories: If you expect laptop-like typing or plan to write or draw with a stylus, include the cost of a compatible keyboard or Apple Pencil in your budget. Macworld cautions that an iPad keyboard case may add hundreds of dollars. Apple lists keyboards and Pencil accessories, but compatibility depends on the exact iPad model; verify it on Apple’s iPad page.
U.K. prices are different
Macworld’s October 6 coverage reported these U.K. prices: £669 for the 128GB 11-inch M4 Air, £869 for the 128GB 13-inch M4 Air, £594.66 for the 128GB mini, and £404.97 for the 128GB A16 iPad. These are separate U.K. listings, not conversions of the U.S. prices, and should not be mixed with U.S. comparisons.

If a listed configuration matches your needs and its live price is attractive to you, compare the current listing with the same model, storage, and connectivity configuration elsewhere before ordering. The reported prices are dated October 6, 2026; the coverage said the October event ran through October 7, but it does not establish that any price remained available throughout that period. Forecasts about an upcoming mini refresh are not confirmed launch plans, so they are not a reliable basis for assuming a particular release date or future price.
