The 27-inch MSI MAG 272UP was reported at $549.99 on Newegg, making it the only one of these two MSI 4K QD-OLED deals under $550. The 32-inch MAG 321UP was listed at $571.14 on Newegg, not under $550. Those prices come from PC Gamer’s deal report published October 6, 2026; they are not confirmed as current or in stock on October 7.
What the reported deals include
PC Gamer hardware writer Jeremy Laird reported both displays as 4K QD-OLED monitors with a 165 Hz refresh rate and a 0.03 ms response time. The retailer prices below are the figures in that October 6, 2026 report, not independently verified live offers.
| Monitor | Screen and resolution | Reported refresh and response | Reported price and retailer | Price cited before deal |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MSI MAG 272UP | 27-inch, 4K QD-OLED | 165 Hz; 0.03 ms | $549.99 at Newegg | $599.99, as reported by PC Gamer |
| MSI MAG 321UP | 32-inch, 4K QD-OLED | 165 Hz; 0.03 ms | $571.14 at Newegg; PC Gamer also reported an Amazon offer at $571 | $749.99, as reported by PC Gamer |
These are figures as stated by PC Gamer’s October 6, 2026 report. The headline’s “under $550” description fits the 27-inch Newegg listing; the 32-inch listing exceeds that threshold. Check the retailer’s live product page for the current price, seller, and stock before buying.

27-inch or 32-inch: which 4K screen makes more sense?
Choose 27 inches for a sharper, more compact image
At the same 4K resolution, packing the pixels into a 27-inch panel gives it higher pixel density than a 32-inch panel. That can make fine details appear sharper at the same viewing distance, while taking up less desk space. The trade-off is a smaller physical image.
#1 Best Overall
- Immersive 4K Gaming Display: 32-inch 4K (3840 x 2160) QD-OLED gaming monitor with 240 Hz refresh rate and 0.03 ms (GTG) response time for immersive gaming

- Intuitive Monitor Management: DisplayWidget Center allows users to access OLED Care functions, as well as adjust monitor settings with a mouse
Choose 32 inches for more screen area
The MAG 321UP gives you a larger viewing area while retaining the same reported 4K resolution and 165 Hz refresh rate as the 27-inch model. It has lower pixel density than a 27-inch 4K display, but some players may prefer the more expansive image. Laird said he personally favored 32 inches; that is a preference, not a universal verdict.
Brightness and USB-C are important caveats
PC Gamer describes both MSI models as first-generation 4K QD-OLED monitors with 250 nits of full-screen brightness and 1,000 nits of peak HDR brightness. The report says newer 32-inch 4K QD-OLED monitors are somewhat brighter, but gives no specific comparison figure. It also reports USB-C power delivery of just 15 W, so do not assume these monitors can provide substantial charging power to a laptop.

Is a 240 Hz alternative worth the extra $30?
For buyers who put refresh rate first, PC Gamer points to the Acer Predator X27 X1bmiippruzx, a similar 27-inch 4K QD-OLED reported at 240 Hz for a $30 premium over the MAG 272UP deal. That premium is relative to the $549.99 Newegg price cited for the MSI in the same report; the article does not establish a current Acer price.

Laird argues that running demanding games above 240 frames per second at 4K is “pretty implausible.” That is his assessment of the trade-off, not a benchmark or a universal performance limit. Consider your games and PC rather than treating the refresh-rate figure alone as a guarantee of higher frame rates.
