Amazon’s U.S. Prime Big Deal Days ran October 6–7, 2026, and ends at 11:59 p.m. PDT on October 7. Amazon promoted the event’s offers as its lowest prices of the year so far, but that does not prove every TV deal is an annual low or the best price available across retailers. The clearest TV offers named on Amazon’s event page are a discount of up to 36% on the 55-inch Samsung The Frame and up to $2,000 off an unspecified big-screen Sony TV. Both are time-sensitive; check the current listing and price history before buying.
What TV deals did Amazon identify for Prime Big Deal Days?
Amazon’s October 2026 U.S. event page lists these TV promotions. The event was exclusive to Prime members, and Amazon notes that listings and availability can change.
| TV offer | What Amazon stated | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Samsung 55-inch The Frame Smart TV | Up to 36% off. Amazon describes the set as including Art Mode, a slim-fit wall mount and Alexa built in. | The live price, stock and exact discount on the product listing. “Up to” is a promotional maximum, not a guarantee that every listing or configuration receives that discount. |
| Big-screen Sony TV | Up to $2,000 off in a limited-time Today’s Big Deals drop. | The event-page passage does not identify a model or price. Check the live listing for the exact TV, screen size and current offer before comparing it. |
Amazon’s promotion identifies a specific Samsung model but not the Sony model behind its advertised maximum discount. Do not assume the largest possible discount applies to the Sony TV you are considering.
Are these the best TV prices of the year?
That is not established for every model. Amazon characterized its event offers as its “lowest prices of the year so far.” This is Amazon’s description of the event, not independent proof that a particular TV is at its annual low or has the lowest price among retailers. The available coverage does not provide a model-by-model annual price-history comparison.

Amazon says product detail pages can show up to 365 days of price history. Use that history to judge whether a listed price is unusually low for that product, but treat it as a comparison aid rather than proof of a market-wide best price. A dated price from an earlier deal roundup is not evidence that the same offer remains live.
How to check whether a Prime Day TV deal is worth buying
- Match the exact TV. Confirm the model name and screen size on the listing. Discounts on one size or configuration do not establish the price of another.
- Check today’s price and stock. Open the current retailer listing rather than relying on a roundup published earlier. Amazon says availability and offers can change, and the fall event ends at 11:59 p.m. PDT on October 7, 2026.
- Compare the price with its history. Review the available price history on the product page, which Amazon says may cover up to 365 days. Look at the actual price rather than the claimed percentage off alone.
- Compare features that matter to you. Consider display type, screen size and smart-TV features alongside price. A deal percentage does not make one TV a universal winner over another.
What other TV prices were reported?
TechRadar’s September 16, 2026 roundup listed an early-event Samsung 55-inch S90H OLED at $1,497.99, reduced from $1,997.99, and a TCL 65-inch QM6K Mini LED QLED at $664.79. These are dated editorial snapshots, not confirmed live prices for October 7. The roundup names different display categories but does not provide a controlled side-by-side review establishing which TV is better for every buyer. Check the current listing and price history for either model before treating those figures as available offers.

Why Amazon calls Prime Day its biggest shopping event
In Amazon’s June 2026 announcement for its summer Prime Day event, Prime vice president Jamil Ghani described Prime Day as “the biggest shopping event of the year exclusively for members.” That was Amazon’s characterization of its summer event, not evidence that a particular TV in the October sale has the year’s lowest price.
