The available sources do not verify the workshop named in the headline, so its date, organizers, participants and recommendations cannot be confirmed. They do, however, document three relevant pieces of Indian public-sector vigilance context: complaint handling under the PIDPI procedure, an administrative workflow on the Central Vigilance Commission’s portal, and preventive-vigilance activities described by a public-sector enterprise. None establishes what a Defence PSU workshop discussed.

What is known about the workshop?

The event itself could not be identified in the available search evidence. No reliable source establishes when or where it took place, who convened or attended it, which Defence PSUs participated, who spoke, or what recommendations were made. It would therefore be misleading to report specific workshop conclusions or attribute advice to its participants.

What official vigilance procedures provide as context

PIDPI complaint handling

A Department of Personnel and Training office memorandum dated 16 June 2014 enclosed the procedure for handling complaints under the Public Interest Disclosure and Protection of Informers (PIDPI) Resolution. It describes designated authorities, including chief vigilance officers (CVOs) in ministries and departments, as recipients of written disclosures within their specified jurisdiction. It also asks ministries and organizations to publicize the procedure and designated authorities on their websites. The memorandum is procedural background; it does not establish that PIDPI was discussed at the workshop. Read the DoPT memorandum and procedure.

CVC Vigilance Status Portal setup

The Central Vigilance Commission’s Vigilance Status Portal asks ministries and departments to provide maker, checker and CVO details to create portal user IDs. This documents an administrative setup workflow; it is not evidence of a workshop decision or outcome. View the CVC Vigilance Status Portal.

What a recent public-sector example shows

RVNL’s FY 2025–26 annual-report vigilance section describes preventive activities and lists campaign focus areas that include disposal of pending complaints and cases, capacity building, asset management and digital initiatives. This is an example of priorities reported by a public-sector enterprise, not evidence that Defence PSUs took part in the unidentified workshop or adopted those priorities. Read RVNL’s annual report.
