Liquid foundation is a reasonable starting point for mature or dry skin: dermatologist Michelle Henry says powder can settle into fine lines and make them more noticeable. Do not rely on foundation alone for sunscreen

What “anti-aging” foundation claims mean
In the United States, the FDA distinguishes cosmetics that make lines look less noticeable by covering them from products claiming to alter skin structure or function. A cosmetic appearance benefit is not, by itself, evidence that a foundation reverses aging or changes the skin. Treat ingredient and “anti-aging” language as a reason to check what the product actually claims, not as proof of a treatment effect.
