Le 2 octobre 2026, le ministre dominicain des Sports, Kelvin Cruz, a annoncé que la sélection haïtienne ne pourrait plus jouer dans les installations sportives du pays. Cette annonce intervient après des incidents signalés aux accès du stade avant la défaite 1-4 de la République dominicaine contre Haïti, le 1er octobre à Saint-Domingue. Les sources disponibles ne précisent toutefois ni la base juridique, ni la durée, ni la portée exacte de la mesure.
Que s’est-il passé avant et pendant le match ?
La rencontre de Ligue des nations de la Concacaf s’est jouée le 1er octobre 2026 au stade olympique Félix-Sánchez, à Saint-Domingue. Haïti l’a remportée 4-1. Le compte rendu officiel de la Concacaf attribue les buts à Louicius Deedson (9e), Wilson Isidor (51e et 67e), Dorny Romero (55e) et Yassin Fortuné (77e).
Des comptes rendus de presse font état de groupes de supporters qui ont tenté de forcer certains accès au stade avant le coup d’envoi; une entrée aurait été endommagée et la police aurait dispersé les groupes. Ces incidents se sont produits aux abords ou aux accès, et non pendant le jeu. Selon les mêmes comptes rendus, la rencontre puis la dispersion après le match se sont déroulées sans autre incident majeur.

Il s’agit d’une annonce rapportée par les médias, pas d’une interdiction dont les modalités juridiques sont établies par les sources disponibles. Aucun texte officiel cité ne précise sa durée, les installations concernées ou si elle vise d’autres équipes haïtiennes que la sélection mentionnée. Pourquoi la célébration de Wilson Isidor a-t-elle suscité des réactions ?
L’Équipe rapporte que Wilson Isidor a crié après un but : « Hispaniola, c’est Haïti ! Ici, c’est Haïti ! » José Deschamps, président de la Fédération dominicaine, a déclaré au média, via l’AFP : « Les mots qu’il a prononcés n’étaient pas appropriés, compte tenu de la situation (politique) que connaissent les deux pays. » Il a également évoqué une possible saisine des instances internationales du football.

Al Jazeera rapporte pour sa part que la fédération envisageait une plainte auprès de la FIFA et de la Concacaf, et cite une autre formulation de Deschamps au sujet de la souveraineté. Ces comptes rendus ne permettent pas d’affirmer qu’une plainte a effectivement été déposée. La phrase attribuée à Isidor est rapportée par la presse; les sources disponibles ne la corroborent pas par une vidéo ou un document primaire.

La Fédération haïtienne a répondu, selon L’Équipe, en évoquant une « belle soirée pour Haïti, belle soirée pour l’île que nous partageons », puis en écrivant : « Sur le terrain, la compétition ; en dehors, le respect du voisin. »

Quel est le contexte entre Haïti et la République dominicaine ?

Quels sont les prochains matchs concernés ?
Le calendrier de la Concacaf pour la Ligue des nations 2026/27 prévoit, le 4 octobre, Costa Rica–Haïti à San José et Nicaragua–République dominicaine à Managua. Ces rencontres se jouent donc hors de République dominicaine pour Haïti; le calendrier ne permet pas de savoir comment l’annonce ministérielle affectera d’éventuels matchs futurs sur le territoire dominicain.
