You can build a TypeScript service to monitor Pons v2 launches on Robinhood Chain, but a fast event alert is not a reliable way to profit from a launch. Pons documents a buy-side opening tax that starts at 99% and decays to zero over five seconds. Any system that ignores that tax can badly overstate what a buy will receive. Treat this as a version-aware monitoring and execution project: verify the chain and contracts, reconcile event data against current state, simulate each trade, and fail closed when any check disagrees.
What you need to build—and what the bot cannot promise
A useful Pons v2 bot is more than a listener that spots a new curve and submits a transaction. It is a pipeline that verifies the network, watches launch-related events, confirms the token and its current state, calculates a tax-aware quote, applies explicit trade limits, and only then asks a signer to submit a transaction.
Pons describes the behavior of a bot buying a curve before other people have seen it as something its opening tax is intended to deter. Speed does not cancel the tax, guarantee inclusion, or guarantee an exit. Pons warns that launch tokens can be volatile, thinly liquid, copied by name or symbol, or lose all value; displayed values are estimates, not execution guarantees. Graduation is not evidence of quality.

Verify Robinhood Chain before connecting a signer
Robinhood Chain is an EVM-compatible Arbitrum Layer-2. Robinhood’s network documentation identifies ETH as the native gas asset and lists chain ID 4663 for mainnet and 46630 for testnet. The chain operates separately from Robinhood brokerage and crypto accounts. Testnet tokens have no real-world value, making the testnet the appropriate place to validate your monitor and transaction checks.

Keep RPC URLs, contract configuration, signing credentials, and trade limits separate for each environment. At process startup, query eth_chainId from the configured endpoint and compare it with the one expected by that environment. Do not let an environment variable alone establish that the endpoint is correct.
import { createPublicClient, defineChain, http } from 'viem';
const environment = process.env.BOT_ENV;
const rpcUrl = process.env.RPC_URL;
if (environment !== 'mainnet' && environment !== 'testnet') {
throw new Error('BOT_ENV must be mainnet or testnet');
}
if (!rpcUrl) throw new Error('RPC_URL is required');
const expectedChainId = environment === 'mainnet' ? 4663 : 46630;
const chain = defineChain({
id: expectedChainId,
name: environment === 'mainnet' ? 'Robinhood Chain' : 'Robinhood Chain Testnet',
nativeCurrency: { name: 'Ether', symbol: 'ETH', decimals: 18 },
rpcUrls: { default: { http: [rpcUrl] } },
});
const publicClient = createPublicClient({ chain, transport: http(rpcUrl) });
const actualChainId = await publicClient.getChainId();
if (actualChainId !== expectedChainId) {
throw new Error(`Wrong chain: expected ${expectedChainId}, got ${actualChainId}`);
}
This startup check is only the first gate. Repeat relevant chain and state checks before signing consequential transactions, and stop if the endpoint changes or returns inconsistent data.
Use Pons v2 addresses and ABIs, not a nearby version’s
Pons documentation includes a separate integration overview describing a V3 launch flow as well as material about V2. The V3 example can illustrate an integration style, but its addresses and semantics are not evidence for V2. Resolve the V2 factory, router, token contracts, event definitions, and ABI from Pons’s V2 contract documentation, then confirm the deployed addresses against Robinhood Chain state before using them.

The available documentation does not establish a complete, tested executable bot or validate live V2 transactions. Treat the following pipeline examples as integration patterns that require the actual verified V2 ABI and addresses, not as a copy-and-run bot.
Monitor launches without trusting a single event
Subscribe for prompt notification
Use a WebSocket-capable RPC connection to receive launch or pool events promptly, if your chosen endpoint supports it. Follow the event definitions and factory addresses verified for V2. Do not copy event names or addresses from the V3 integration page on assumption of compatibility.
Backfill in bounded ranges
Maintain a last-processed block and use bounded getLogs queries to recover missed events after a disconnect or restart. Pons’s integration guidance warns that wide public-RPC log queries can time out. Choose a range appropriate to the provider’s limits; persist progress only after successfully processing the range, and retry smaller ranges when a query fails.

const logs = await publicClient.getLogs({
address: verifiedV2Factory,
events: verifiedV2LaunchEvents,
fromBlock: rangeStart,
toBlock: rangeEnd,
});
// Decode, validate, and persist each event before advancing the checkpoint.
Do not treat an event as sufficient proof that a token is ready to trade. After decoding it, read the corresponding current contract state and reconcile the result with the event. Deduplicate by chain, transaction, and log identity so that retries do not create duplicate trade attempts. If the event stream and state query disagree, pause that candidate and investigate instead of trading on stale or partial information.
Include the opening tax in every buy quote
Pons documents an opening buy tax that begins at 99% and decays exponentially to zero across the first five seconds. It applies to buys, not sells, and collected value joins launch fees. These are documented protocol parameters, not independently measured performance figures.
For a quote during the opening window, Pons says integrations should read currentSnipeTaxBps(recipient) and apply the returned tax. The recipient address matters: it is the address receiving the tokens, not necessarily the transaction sender. A curve-only estimate can therefore overstate the amount the recipient gets.

functionName: 'currentSnipeTaxBps',
args: [tokenRecipient],
});
// Build the quote using the protocol's documented tax and fee mechanics.
// Reject the trade if the quote cannot be reproduced from current state.
Also inspect the token’s standard trading fee, which Pons says is shared among the protocol, creator, and buyback, and check whether an optional creator tax was set at launch. That creator tax varies by token. Record all fee and tax inputs with the quote, and recalculate immediately before submission if state may have changed.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Put hard limits and a fail-closed gate before signing
Separate detection from execution. The event monitor should create a candidate; a trade gate should independently validate the chain, contract identity, fresh state, tax-aware quote, fees, and configured limits. Only a candidate that passes every check should reach the signer.

Choose RPC infrastructure for monitoring and recovery
Robinhood’s network documentation lists RPC and WebSocket endpoints, identifies Alchemy as its recommended infrastructure provider, and says public RPC endpoints are rate-limited and not recommended for production. The documentation does not establish a benchmark, current price comparison, or reliability ranking among providers.
For production evaluation, compare the capabilities that affect this design rather than assuming that one provider is fastest:
- Whether WebSocket subscriptions are supported for the required event stream.
- Request and log-query limits, plus behavior when those limits are reached.
- Historical access adequate for bounded backfills and recovery.
- How reconnects, endpoint failover, and inconsistent responses are handled.
- Cost, API-key controls, and the ability to separate test and mainnet credentials.
Use an independent recovery path where practical, but reconcile its results before trading. A second endpoint is useful for checking data; it does not remove the need to verify chain ID and contract state.
Keep the signer separate from treasury custody
Automated execution requires a signing key available to the running process. Treat that key as a hot signer: restrict its permissions and access, protect secrets from logs and source control, and keep only a deliberately limited operating balance available to it. Establish a process to stop the bot and rotate credentials if the runtime or key is compromised.
Keep recovery and treasury funds under separate human-controlled custody. A hardware wallet may suit that separate role, but the reviewed protocol and network documentation does not establish a hardware wallet as compatible with an unattended hot signer or as a requirement for this bot.
Test the failure paths before any mainnet use
- Validate configuration: start with testnet settings and confirm the observed chain ID is 46630; verify that a mainnet endpoint is rejected by the testnet process and vice versa.
- Validate version selection: confirm configured V2 addresses have code on the selected chain and that the ABI matches the documented V2 contracts.
- Exercise event recovery: disconnect and reconnect the stream, backfill bounded block ranges, and verify that missed events are recovered without duplicate actions.
- Exercise stale-data handling: make state or quote reads fail or become inconsistent in your test setup and confirm the trade gate refuses to sign.
- Exercise limits: test spend caps, minimum received checks, expiry, and tax/fee calculations against known test cases before enabling execution.
- Keep test and production isolated: do not reuse test configuration or a test signer for mainnet, and do not enable real-money execution until every rejection path works as intended.
A correctly functioning monitor can identify activity; it cannot ensure transaction inclusion, favorable execution, liquidity, or profit. The opening tax is deliberately most punitive at launch, and every live trade remains exposed to contract, RPC, wallet, market, and token risks.
