New York State Police reportedly arrested a 45-year-old Lacona woman after allegations that she exposed herself to students near Sandy Creek Central School and later entered the school while partially disrobed. The incident was reported in Lacona, New York, on October 1, 2026. The conduct described remains an allegation, not a court finding.
What police reportedly say happened
According to an account published by Blue Water Healthy Living, citing the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle and attributing the details to New York State Police, troopers responded to Sandy Creek Central School at 124 Salisbury Street in Lacona at about 2:04 p.m. on October 1 following a report of public lewdness.
The report says a preliminary police investigation alleged that Kristy L. Grafton, 45, of Lacona, removed her robe and exposed herself to students from the porch of a nearby residence while school was in session.
A later report and alleged school entry
While troopers were responding, another report came to Oswego County 911 describing a woman outside the school without a shirt. The account says the woman later entered the school while partially disrobed.

Charges and reported court date
The report says police located Grafton and took her into custody. It lists three counts of public lewdness, described as Class B misdemeanors, and two counts of disorderly conduct, described as violations. After processing at the State Police barracks in Pulaski, she was reportedly issued an appearance ticket.
The account listed an appearance in Sandy Creek Town Court for 5:30 p.m. on October 15, 2026. The available account does not establish whether that appearance occurred or what the court decided.

The available account is a contemporaneous news report, credited to Victoria E. Freile of the New York Connect Team / USA TODAY Network and published by Blue Water Healthy Living, which identifies the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle as the original outlet. It attributes the incident details to State Police. No independent police release or court record is established here.
