TwoShot’s guidance identifies imitation of a specific real artist’s voice as a likeness concern and recommends describing styles instead of naming celebrities unless you have permission. For a safer creative brief, describe musical qualities—such as a bright vocal delivery, a playful mood or a particular tempo—without asking for Pokimane’s identity or a sound-alike. These examples describe a prompt approach; they do not establish that a particular product supports those genres, controls or results.
Consent should be clear about the intended use. A private experiment, a public upload and a commercial release are different contexts to discuss with the voice owner. This is practical guidance, not a legal conclusion about what any particular use permits. If you cannot confirm authorization, choose a consenting voice or your own recording instead.

Does An AI Cover Need Song Rights Too?
Yes, voice permission and song permission address different parts of the project. Replacing a singer does not make the composition yours. TwoShot’s guidance says a cover of a song you did not write is still someone else’s composition, and that publishing or monetizing a cover of a copyrighted track needs the right licence. A paid plan’s commercial rights for its outputs do not, by themselves, clear the underlying song.
For an original track, write or commission a new composition and use material you are entitled to use. For a cover, identify the song’s rights and obtain the licence needed for the intended release before publishing or monetizing it. TwoShot says commercial rights apply to paid-plan outputs; check the vendor’s current terms for the specific plan and output, and check the relevant licensing requirements for the song separately.

How To Make A Lower-Risk Version
- Choose the project type. Decide whether you are making an original song or replacing a singer on an existing track. If it is a cover, account for the composition rights as a separate issue.
- Set the voice boundary. Use your own voice or one whose owner has agreed to the project. Without Pokimane’s authorization, do not request a voice intended to imitate her.
- Write a descriptive prompt. Name musical attributes rather than a real person. For example: “Create an original, upbeat pop song with a playful mood and bright vocals; use a consenting vocalist.” This is a general prompt example, not a claim that a tool supports every attribute in it.
- Check the product details. TwoShot AI Cover Generator is listed as a web-based, cloud product with a free plan and paid pricing from $9.50 per month. Its entry does not specify every voice option, supported genre or release workflow. Confirm those details and the terms that apply to your account on the vendor’s site.
- Review before release. Confirm the voice authorization, song licence where relevant, output terms and how the track will be presented. Labeling a synthetic performance clearly helps listeners understand what they are hearing; it does not replace consent or licensing.
What Should You Know Before Uploading?
Spotify announced in September 2025 that vocal impersonation is allowed only when the impersonated artist has authorized it. The same announcement described a music spam filter for mass uploads and duplicates, and support for DDEX AI disclosures in credits. Spotify said it had removed more than 75 million spammy tracks in the preceding 12 months. These are Spotify’s stated policies and actions; they do not establish the rules of every music service or settle whether a particular track has the required rights. Spotify also announced an “AI Persona” badge in August 2026 to label artist identities that may be AI-generated rather than a real person.
