The North American App Store listing showed Pokémon GO at 443.3 MB when accessed on October 7, 2026. That is the listed download size, not a guaranteed total for the installed game. To check what it currently uses on your iPhone, go to Settings → General → iPhone Storage and select Pokémon GO.
Download size and installed storage are different

The App Store number can change with updates or differ by storefront. It should not be treated as the complete space the game will occupy after installation. Apple also cautions that “Cached data and temporary data might not count as usage,” so the phone’s displayed figure has that limitation too.
How to check Pokémon GO’s storage use
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap General, then iPhone Storage.
- Wait for the app list to load, then tap Pokémon GO to view its storage details.
This is the most relevant check for the game on your own phone. The official sources do not establish one universal installed total—including all downloaded or cached content—for every iPhone and app state, so there is no reliable basis for converting the listing size into a fixed gigabyte requirement.

Freeing space without confusing offloading and deletion
In iPhone Storage, Apple distinguishes two actions:

- Offload App removes storage used by the app but keeps its documents and data.
- Delete App removes the app and its related data.
Apple’s guidance is general; it does not establish how every kind of Pokémon GO local data behaves in each case. Do not assume deleting the app is risk-free for locally stored game data.
Storage size is not a compatibility requirement
Niantic lists iPhone 6s or later and iOS 15 or later among Pokémon GO’s supported-device criteria. Its guidance also mentions internet access, GPS and Location Services, and at least 2 GB of RAM. These are compatibility criteria, not a storage-space figure. Niantic cautions that it cannot guarantee support for every device model and configuration that meets the criteria.
