Pokémon GO’s Minior meteor showers run on six dates spanning October 2026 to August 2027. Minior can appear in the wild during each event; the daily highlighted period for shooting stars and an increased chance of an encounter is 5:00–9:00 p.m. local time. The event itself runs until 11:59 p.m. local time on its final day. Niantic says event details may change, so check the official announcement for updates.

All times below are local to the player. Each shower starts at 5:00 p.m. on its first listed date and ends at 11:59 p.m. on its final date.

These dates and times come from Niantic’s Minior event announcement, which lists recurring annual showers across the 2026 and 2027 calendar years. They are local-time windows, not a single UTC schedule.
When to look for Minior
Play during the highlighted hours
On every day of each event, the game sky is scheduled to show shooting stars from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time. Niantic also says players have an increased chance of encountering Minior during that period.

Understand the full event window
Minior may appear in the wild throughout each listed shower. The 5:00–9:00 p.m. period is the daily highlighted window, not the event’s closing time: on the final day, the overall event continues until 11:59 p.m. local time. An encounter is not guaranteed, and Niantic has not stated an encounter rate or a special item or throwing technique for catching Minior.
What catching Minior gives
Catching Minior during the showers awards increased Stardust, according to Niantic. The announcement does not specify the Stardust amount.

Minior core colors and battle form changes
Core colors debut during the showers
Minior has seven core colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. One color makes its Pokémon GO debut during each shower. For the Geminids, Niantic says one color debuts in the Northern Hemisphere and a different color in the Southern Hemisphere. It does not publish a complete mapping of colors to the other showers, so the remaining color assignments should not be inferred.

Minior begins battle in Meteor Form. When its health drops below 50%, it changes form and exposes its core. Meteor Form has higher Defense and lower Attack; the exposed-core form has higher Attack and lower Defense. Niantic says the change can initially occur in battles against Team GO Rocket, team leaders, or in GO Battle League. Minior will not be eligible for the 2027 Latin America International Championships.
