Pokémon GO now shows a confirmation prompt before you transfer a Pokémon with maxed-out stats. When you select Pokémon for a bulk transfer, the warning also shows the exact number of 100% Pokémon in the selection—an extra chance to catch a valuable Pokémon before it is gone.
What the new transfer warning does
The feature adds a confirmation prompt before transferring any Pokémon with maxed-out stats. In a bulk transfer, the prompt displays the exact count of selected “★ 100% Pokémon,” according to the official Pokémon GO announcement. The announcement does not say that the prompt lists each Pokémon individually or explain how every possible mixed selection is handled.

What “100%” and “hundo” mean
Pokémon GO’s announcement describes the protected Pokémon as having “maxed-out stats” and calls them “★ 100% Pokémon.” In player terminology, a 100% Pokémon is often called a “hundo”; secondary coverage explains this in terms of maximum HP, Attack, and Defense. The prompt is a final confirmation opportunity for this specific stat category, not a guarantee against transferring other Pokémon you meant to keep.

How about when transferring multiple Pokémon?
The official announcement says the bulk-transfer warning shows the exact count of selected 100% Pokémon. That count can help you spot a 100% Pokémon in the group before confirming the transfer. It does not establish that the prompt identifies every individual Pokémon or describe all mixed-selection cases.

When the update was announced
Niantic published the announcement on October 8, 2026. The transfer warning was one of several gameplay and quality-of-life changes in the same update, alongside changes involving Zygarde Cells on Routes, the Compass and Weather icons, map spacing, and Community Ambassador meetup check-ins.
Availability and rollout details
The announcement says the feature has “recently rolled out,” but does not specify an app version, supported devices, regions, or a precise rollout schedule. It also does not identify a setting players need to enable. Check the in-game transfer prompt rather than relying on an assumed version number or availability date.
