The POCO X7 and the vivo X300 FE are built for different buyers. The POCO X7 offers a larger 6.67-inch display and, in the price listings reviewed, a much lower asking price. The vivo X300 FE is the more compact premium phone, with a higher-tier Snapdragon processor, a dedicated 50 MP telephoto camera, and a far higher local price. Neither is a universal winner. The better choice depends on screen size, whether you want telephoto zoom, and what the phone costs in your own market and configuration.

Display: larger screen or compact body
The clearest physical difference is screen size. The POCO X7 measures 6.67 inches, while the X300 FE measures 6.31 inches, and the X7 also lists a slightly higher pixel grid of 2712 × 1220 against 2640 × 1216. Both use AMOLED panels. If you watch video, read long articles, or play games in landscape, the X7 gives more room. If one-hand use and pocket size matter more, the X300 FE is the easier phone to carry.

vivo lists the X300 FE with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, which is positioned above the Dimensity 7300-Ultra that Xiaomi lists for the POCO X7. That is a tier difference in the manufacturers’ own descriptions. It is not a measured speed difference. Neither the manufacturer pages nor the price listings reviewed include benchmark, thermal, or gaming test results, so this article does not claim how the two phones perform in daily use.

Cameras: telephoto versus macro
Both phones have a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilisation, and both list an ultra-wide lens of 8 MP. The difference is the third rear camera. The X300 FE has a 50 MP telephoto lens with OIS, which is designed for optical zoom and tighter portrait framing. The POCO X7 lists a 2 MP macro camera, which is intended for close-up subjects but contributes little to image quality at normal distances.
Megapixel counts do not establish real-world image quality. Sensor size, processing, and lens quality matter as much as the number on the spec sheet, and none of the sources reviewed provides side-by-side photo tests.

vivo states that the ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 is compatible with the X300 FE and is sold separately. If you expect to shoot at long range, that accessory is a further cost to consider. Check local availability before you plan around it.

Battery and charging
The X300 FE has the larger listed battery, at 6,500 mAh typical compared with 5,110 mAh for the X7. It also lists 90 W wired charging with the original charger and cable, against 45 W on the X7. Those figures favour the vivo on paper. A typical battery capacity is an average figure, not a guarantee, and actual battery life depends on the screen, the processor, and how you use the phone. The sources reviewed contain no independent endurance test for either model.

Price difference: what the listings show
The price gap between these two phones is large in the listings reviewed, but the figures are not a like-for-like comparison. They come from different sources, on different dates, for different memory and storage configurations, and from different sellers. Treat each figure as a dated listing, not a fixed price.
vivo India official store listing
The vivo India store listing for the X300 FE shows ₹94,999 against a maximum retail price (MRP) of ₹119,999. The listing covers more than one memory tier, and the sources reviewed do not confirm which tier this price applies to. Check the configuration shown on the live page before you quote it.

The vivo Philippines page lists the X300 FE at ₱54,999. This is a different currency and market. Do not convert it into rupees or set it against the Indian figures.

POCO official pricing
The sources reviewed do not establish a current official POCO X7 price for the same market and storage tier as the vivo listings. Any price comparison involving the X7 should therefore be labelled as a third-party figure unless you confirm an official one.

- Choose your market first. Look up both phones on the official store or the local POCO and vivo pages for that country, and do not mix currencies.
- Match the memory and storage tier. Compare the X300 FE’s 8/256 GB, 12/512 GB or other tiers against the same spec of the X7, and note any tier you cannot match.
- Note the seller and whether the price is a discount or the list price. A discounted price for one tier should not be compared with another tier’s full price.
- Record the date you checked. Prices change and third-party comparison pages may not update promptly.
- Confirm the warranty and local availability before ordering, especially for imported or cross-border stock.
Cases and protection
vivo’s India package includes a case and an applied protective film, according to the India product listing. The X7’s box contents are not stated in the sources reviewed. If you buy a replacement case, check that it is made for the exact model, because the two phones have different dimensions.
Which phone fits your priorities
Choose the POCO X7 if
- You want a larger 6.67-inch display with a higher listed refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.
- Your main concern is the lower asking price in the listings you can find for your market.
- Telephoto zoom is not a priority, and you are content with a main, ultra-wide, and macro camera set.
Choose the vivo X300 FE if
- You want a compact body with a higher-tier processor on the manufacturer’s own description.
- A dedicated telephoto lens matters to you, and you may consider the ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2.
- You want the larger listed battery and faster wired charging, and your budget covers the higher price for your market.
