The POCO X7 Pro is the stronger specification-led pick for demanding games, faster charging and higher internal storage configurations. The Redmi Note 15 5G offers a larger curved display, microSD expansion and an IP66 rating on Xiaomi India’s model. The price comparison is less conclusive: Xiaomi India lists the Redmi Note 15 5G from ₹28,999, but a comparable current POCO X7 Pro price in India is not established here.

Specifications are manufacturer-published, not independent performance or camera test results. The brightness figures also use different categories: POCO lists 3200-nit peak brightness and 1400-nit HBM, while Redmi lists 3200-nit peak and 800-nit typical brightness. Peak figures are not a direct comparison of sustained screen brightness. Xiaomi Global’s POCO X7 Pro specifications and Xiaomi India’s Redmi Note 15 5G specifications provide the cited product details.
Which phone is faster for gaming and demanding apps?
The POCO X7 Pro is the better specification-led choice for demanding games and heavy workloads. Its Dimensity 8400-Ultra is paired with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 storage, and its listed configurations go up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The Redmi Note 15 5G’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, LPDDR4X and UFS 2.2 configuration is a lower-tier hardware package on paper, with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage in Xiaomi India’s cited specifications.

This comparison does not establish a benchmark score, frame rate, or real-world performance gap. Those results depend on the game, software, cooling and test conditions; the specification hierarchy supports a recommendation, not a measured lead.
How do the displays differ?
The Redmi has the larger screen at 6.77 inches and uses curved edges, while the POCO has a 6.67-inch flat panel. The POCO’s 2712 × 1220 resolution is higher than the Redmi’s 2392 × 1080, which means it offers more pixels across a slightly smaller display. Both manufacturers list AMOLED technology and refresh rates up to 120Hz.

For a larger, curved viewing area, the Redmi has the edge in size. For a higher-resolution flat panel, the POCO is the more suitable specification match. The quoted brightness values should not be treated as like-for-like sustained brightness measurements because Xiaomi labels them differently for the two models.

Do the 108MP Redmi cameras make it better?
Not necessarily. The Redmi lists a 108MP OIS main camera, while the POCO lists a 50MP OIS main camera; both also have an 8MP ultrawide. Megapixel count alone cannot establish which phone takes better photos, and no independent camera testing is available for this comparison. Choose based on tested sample images or reviews if camera quality is a deciding factor rather than relying on resolution alone.

Battery, charging and regional differences
For the global POCO X7 Pro, Xiaomi lists a 6000mAh typical battery and 90W charging. Xiaomi’s FAQ says the India variant has a 6550mAh typical battery, so the global battery figure should not be applied to every market. The Redmi Note 15 5G India specification lists a 5520mAh typical battery and 45W charging, as well as 18W reverse charging.
On the published figures, POCO has faster wired charging. The battery-capacity comparison depends on which POCO regional version is being compared: the India POCO listing is larger than the Redmi’s listed capacity, while the global POCO figure is also larger but by a different margin. Actual endurance cannot be inferred from capacity alone.

Xiaomi India’s Redmi product page says its 5520mAh silicon-carbon battery remains strong after 1,600 cycles. That is Xiaomi’s product claim, not an independently verified result in this comparison. Adapter and other box contents can vary by region; check the package details for the exact listing.

Storage, weight and water protection
The POCO provides faster internal storage specifications and higher maximum internal capacity. The Redmi’s advantage is removable-card expansion: Xiaomi India lists microSD support up to 1TB. That is useful if you want to add space without selecting a larger internal-storage configuration, but card expansion does not change the phone’s listed UFS 2.2 internal storage.

The India Redmi specification lists 178g and IP66 protection. POCO’s Global specification lists 195g for the plastic finish or 198g for the PU finish. The reviewed POCO material does not establish an IP rating, so check the documentation for your local model rather than assuming a rating or concluding that the phone has no water protection.
What is the price difference?
Xiaomi India’s store lists the Redmi Note 15 5G from ₹28,999 and displays ₹36,999 as a crossed-out price. These are listing prices observed on Xiaomi India’s store, not a guaranteed current offer; phone prices and promotions can change. A comparable current POCO X7 Pro price in the same market was not established, so a numeric price gap or claim that one is cheaper would be unsupported.
For a fair comparison, check both phones in the same country at the same time and match storage tier, seller and warranty. The Redmi’s ₹28,999 starting listing should not be compared directly with a POCO price from another region, a different storage configuration or an expired promotion.

Choose the POCO X7 Pro if
- You prioritize gaming or demanding workloads and want the stronger processor and memory/storage specifications on paper.
- You want 90W wired charging, subject to the exact regional version.
- You need up to 512GB of internal storage.
Choose the Redmi Note 15 5G if
- You prefer a larger curved display.
- You want microSD expansion up to 1TB.
- You value the IP66 rating listed for the India model or prefer its lighter listed weight.
- You want the higher-resolution main-camera specification, while recognizing that megapixels do not prove better image quality.
