The POCO X6 Pro is the cheaper phone by a wide margin in India, while the iQOO 15R is the newer model with higher listed figures for chip tier, display refresh rate, battery capacity, charging speed and selfie camera. The POCO keeps two edges: a slightly larger screen and a dedicated macro camera. At the listing prices checked on 91mobiles, the iQOO 15R costs ₹20,491 more (₹53,990 against ₹33,499). Whether that gap is worth paying depends on the live price of the exact RAM and storage version you are considering.
Launch timing and where the figures come from
The POCO X6 Pro launched in India on January 11, 2024, according to comparison listings. The iQOO 15R arrived in early 2026. Comparison sites list a February 24 announcement and a March 3 sale date for it. The two phones are therefore from different generations, and a same-year comparison would be misleading.
POCO’s specifications are taken from the manufacturer’s own page, POCO X6 Pro specifications on mi.com. The iQOO 15R figures in this article come from comparison outlets, Gadgets 360 and 91mobiles. An official vivo India comparison page that appeared in search did not clearly show the 15R’s specifications, so the iQOO numbers should be read as comparison-site figures, not confirmed manufacturer data. Treat them as provisional until checked against a correct iQOO or vivo India product page.

Processor: a generation gap on paper
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 in the iQOO 15R is newer than the Dimensity 8300-Ultra in the POCO X6 Pro, and its listed clock speed is higher. That matters most for sustained demanding tasks such as heavy gaming or long camera processing sessions. Spec sheets cannot show how either phone handles heat, sustained load or the apps you use. Those outcomes require review testing, which this article does not include.

Display: bigger panel or faster refresh
The POCO’s 6.67-inch screen is 0.08 inches larger than the iQOO’s 6.59-inch panel, a small difference in daily use. The iQOO’s listed resolution of 2750×1260 is higher than the POCO’s 2712×1220, and its refresh rate reaches 144Hz against the POCO’s 120Hz maximum. Both panels are AMOLED. The refresh-rate gap only shows up in apps and games that support the higher rates. Where a phone runs at a lower rate, the difference disappears.
Cameras: more lenses on the POCO, higher selfie resolution on the iQOO
Rear cameras
The POCO X6 Pro has three rear cameras: a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro. The comparison table lists the iQOO 15R with a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide, with no macro module. The POCO therefore offers a close-focus option the iQOO does not list. A higher megapixel count does not guarantee better photos, because sensor size, pixel processing and software all affect the result. Judge camera quality from sample photos taken by a reviewer, not from the sensor specifications.

Selfie camera
The iQOO 15R lists a 32MP selfie camera, double the POCO’s 16MP. The same caveat applies: resolution is only one part of the image.
Battery, charging and durability
The iQOO 15R lists a 7600mAh battery, more than the POCO’s typical 5000mAh, and 100W fast charging against the POCO’s 67W. Those are the largest spec-sheet differences after the chip. Battery life in hours depends on the processor, the display, the software and how the phone is used, none of which a capacity figure captures.

Charging speed also depends on the charger you use. The POCO ships with a 67W charger according to its official page. Whether the iQOO includes a 100W charger in the box is not stated in the sources reviewed, so check the product listing before assuming you can charge at full speed out of the box.
The POCO’s official page lists an IP54 rating, which means protection against dust and water splashes. The iQOO’s IP69 rating, from comparison sites, indicates protection against close-range, high-temperature, high-pressure water jets as well as dust. Both ratings come from test conditions set by the manufacturer or the testing body. Neither rating means the phone is protected against submersion or any water exposure. Treat the iQOO’s higher rating as a stronger claim for water-jet exposure, not as permission to take the phone into water.

Price difference: what the listings show
91mobiles shows the POCO X6 Pro at ₹33,499 and the iQOO 15R at ₹53,990 on Amazon, a difference of ₹20,491. The listings do not identify the RAM and storage configuration, and they do not state the date on which the price was captured. Treat the gap as a dated listing comparison rather than a lasting market difference.
Gadgets 360’s POCO X6 Pro price page, accessed October 7, 2026, lists several POCO prices by variant. Some variants are marked out of stock. Compare only matching storage configurations from the same seller, because a low headline price may belong to a variant you would not buy.
Which phone fits your situation
- Choose the POCO X6 Pro if the price gap stays near the listed ₹20,491, you want a larger screen or a dedicated macro camera, and 67W charging and IP54 protection meet your needs. Its 12GB/512GB configuration is the one to compare if you want more storage.
- Choose the iQOO 15R if you want the newer chip, the higher refresh rate, a larger battery and faster charging, and the price difference for your chosen configuration is small enough that those upgrades are worth it.
- Re-check before deciding. If the live gap narrows, the iQOO’s newer hardware is the stronger buy on paper. If the gap stays near the listed figure, the POCO is the better value for most of the same features, with the trade-offs listed above.
If a protective case matters to you, check the package contents on the listing. POCO’s official specifications page says a protective case may be included, and the packaging varies by region.
On the specifications alone, the iQOO 15R is the more capable phone, and the POCO X6 Pro is the lower-cost phone with a few distinct features. Which one is the better purchase depends on the price you can get for the same configuration.
