The POCO M8 5G is the better fit if you want a lighter phone, an officially specified AMOLED screen and microSD expansion. The iQOO Z11x 5G is the stronger on-paper choice for battery capacity and, on its India product page, ingress protection. Prices and some specifications depend on the market, so compare the exact regional variants before buying.
POCO M8 vs iQOO Z11x: key specifications
The table combines POCO’s global specifications with iQOO’s India and China pages. The iQOO Z11x specifications differ by region; its China display technology is not confirmed as universal here, so check the listing for the model sold in your country.

POCO explicitly lists a 6.77-inch 2392 × 1080 Flow AMOLED display with refresh rates up to 120Hz. The iQOO China page gives a 6.76-inch display, while a comparison listing identifies that version as LCD. Because regional specifications can vary, verify the exact Z11x variant rather than assuming the display technology applies everywhere.

The POCO is also substantially lighter on the published figures: 178g versus approximately 219g for the China Z11x. It is the more attractive option if a lower carry weight matters. POCO’s hybrid SIM/microSD slot supports cards up to 1TB, but using that slot for a memory card means giving up one of the two SIM positions. The China iQOO specifications say storage expansion is unsupported.
Battery and charging: capacity favors iQOO, runtime is unproven
iQOO lists a 7200mAh typical battery, compared with POCO’s 5520mAh typical capacity. That gives the Z11x the larger stated battery, but capacity alone cannot establish which phone lasts longer in everyday use; screen settings, signal conditions, software and workload all affect runtime. iQOO’s published endurance figures are company claims, not independent comparative testing.

Charging ratings are close: POCO specifies 45W and iQOO 44W. Those figures describe the manufacturers’ stated charging support, not a measured head-to-head charging time. POCO also lists wired reverse charging up to 18W.
Performance, cameras and durability
Performance
POCO specifies a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, while iQOO’s India page names the Dimensity 7400-Turbo and its China page names the Dimensity 7400. Chipset names alone do not establish which phone performs better in games or daily use, and no independent comparative test is established here.

Cameras
POCO lists a 50MP Light Fusion 400 main camera, a 2MP depth camera and a 20MP front camera. iQOO promotes 4K recording from both front and rear cameras on its India page, but the cited specifications do not provide a directly comparable full camera configuration. Resolution and recording support do not, by themselves, show which phone takes better photos or video.
Water and drop protection
POCO specifies IP66 and cautions that resistance is not permanent and does not mean the phone should be immersed. iQOO advertises IP68/IP69+ protection on its India page. These are manufacturer-stated ratings, not a promise that either phone is damage-proof; liquid damage and wear can still be concerns. POCO also reports an internal-lab face-down drop test from 1.7m onto marble and identifies an SGS test report. That is a result attributed to POCO’s cited testing, not a general guarantee against drops. See POCO’s product page for its test claim and limitations.

Price difference: compare local, matching configurations
A 91mobiles comparison page showed ₹22,820 beside the POCO M8 with an Amazon reference and ₹27,999 beside an iQOO Z11x listing marked “Out of Stock” when accessed. These are marketplace snapshots, not a verified current, like-for-like price pair. The cited iQOO India page did not establish an exact official India price.
The China page lists suggested retail prices for China-market configurations, which should not be treated as India prices:

For an actual buying decision, compare the same country, RAM and storage tier, seller terms, warranty and availability. Check the 91mobiles comparison listing for its snapshot, but confirm current listings with local sellers.
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the POCO M8 5G if you value a lighter handset, a clearly specified AMOLED display, microSD expansion or the slightly higher stated charging wattage.
- Choose the iQOO Z11x 5G if a larger stated battery capacity and the India page’s higher ingress-protection claims matter more, and you have confirmed the regional display, configuration and availability.
- Compare both in person or through reliable regional reviews if gaming speed, camera quality or real battery life is decisive; published component numbers do not settle those questions.
POCO lists 8GB+256GB and 8GB+512GB globally, while the China iQOO page lists five memory/storage combinations. Verify that a configuration is officially sold in your market. POCO also says charger availability in the box should be checked with the local seller.
