Which phone has the better display?
The POCO has the larger listed diagonal: 6.77 inches versus 6.66 inches for the Samsung in 91mobiles’ comparison. Both manufacturers specify 120 Hz refresh rates, and Samsung identifies its panel as Super AMOLED while POCO calls its display Flow AMOLED. These specifications establish size and stated refresh rate, not which screen looks better in use; no comparable display test is available here.

Performance: same listed chipset, not a proven tie
Comparison listings give both phones the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. That puts them in the same broad chipset category on paper, but does not establish matching performance under sustained loads, in games, or across software versions. No matched benchmark or gaming test is available to settle those questions.

Battery capacity and charging
POCO states a typical battery capacity of 5520 mAh and 45 W charging. Samsung is listed with a 6000 mAh battery and 45 W charging. The Samsung therefore has the larger listed capacity, but capacity alone cannot establish which phone lasts longer: screen, software, network conditions, and usage affect runtime, and there is no controlled battery comparison here.
Check charger availability when comparing the cost of ownership. POCO says adapter availability varies by local seller; Samsung says the charger is sold separately.
Software support favors Samsung on the published commitment
Samsung India says the Galaxy M47 5G will receive six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates from its first global launch date, while noting that the policy is subject to change. 91mobiles reports four years of OS updates and six years of security updates for the POCO M8 5G, but that duration is not confirmed in the POCO product information cited here. Treat the POCO figure as a secondary-source report rather than an equivalent manufacturer commitment.

India price difference: compare the exact listing
Comparison pages showed different prices when checked, so there is no single dependable price gap to apply to every buyer. 91mobiles displayed observed Amazon India prices of ₹23,599 for the POCO and ₹30,999 for the Samsung, a ₹7,400 spread on that page. Smartprix showed ₹21,499 and ₹27,799 respectively, a ₹6,300 spread; Smartprix said its details were updated October 6, 2026. These are page snapshots, not guaranteed live offers or controlled checks of identical memory configurations.
Before deciding, compare the same memory variant and verify the seller’s live price, stock, promotion, and included adapter. A lower price on one page does not by itself establish the better value if the configurations or box contents differ.
Which one should you buy?
Choose the POCO M8 5G if
- You prefer its larger listed 6.77-inch display.
- The current price for your chosen configuration is meaningfully lower.
- You are comfortable treating the reported POCO update duration as unconfirmed by the cited manufacturer information.
Choose the Samsung Galaxy M47 5G if
