Which display is better?
Both phones have a 6.77-inch AMOLED display and a refresh rate that reaches 120Hz. POCO specifies the M8’s resolution as 2392 × 1080, while Nothing describes the Phone (4b) as Super AMOLED with adaptive refresh up to 120Hz; the cited Nothing page does not state its resolution. On the documented figures alone, POCO provides more detail about resolution and a peak-brightness claim. Nothing identifies adaptive refresh, but the listed information does not establish which screen is brighter or better in everyday viewing.
How do the cameras differ?
The main-camera resolutions match at 50MP, but the supporting hardware is different. POCO lists a 2MP depth camera alongside its main camera and a 20MP front camera. Nothing lists optical image stabilisation on its 50MP main camera and a 119-degree ultra-wide camera; the cited product page does not state a front-camera specification.

POCO lists a typical 5,520mAh battery, 45W charging and up to 18W wired reverse charging. Nothing lists 5,200mAh for its general model and 6,000mAh for India; its cited product page does not state a charging rate. Capacity figures alone cannot determine real-world battery life because usage and test conditions matter.

What is the price difference?
A dependable current price gap cannot be calculated from the available published figures. Nothing Community’s release post, dated July 7, 2026, lists launch prices for the Phone (4b) 8GB + 128GB model: £299, ₹29,999 or €329. These are regional launch prices, not guaranteed current checkout prices. The cited POCO sources establish specifications, not a matching current retail price. To compare the phones fairly, use prices from the same country and date, match storage where possible, and account for taxes, seller status and conditional discounts. POCO lists an 8GB + 256GB configuration, but Nothing’s cited page lists 8GB + 128GB outside the India offer described in its release post, so the two configurations should not be treated as direct price equivalents.

- Consider the POCO M8 5G if its locally available configuration suits you and you value the documented Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, expandable storage, 45W charging, or the stated IP66 rating with its limits.
- Consider the Nothing Phone (4b) if optical image stabilisation on the main camera and a dedicated ultra-wide camera are priorities, or if the adaptive 120Hz display and Nothing OS fit your preferences.
- Compare local offers before deciding on value. The published Nothing prices are launch context, not current prices, and the available sources do not establish a like-for-like current POCO price.
Neither manufacturer specification page provides a shared independent benchmark or camera test. Treat the listed hardware and vendor claims as specification evidence, not proof of a universal performance, camera or battery-life winner.
