First, make sure these are the right regional models
“POCO M7” and “Redmi Note 14 Pro” do not identify one universal pair of phones. POCO’s global specification page describes an M7 with the Snapdragon 685 4G platform. Xiaomi India’s Redmi Note 14 Pro page describes a 5G model with the Dimensity 7300-Ultra. India-market listings also show a POCO M7 5G, and Xiaomi sells Redmi Note 14 Pro versions with different network capabilities. Which phone has the better screen?
The Redmi has the higher-resolution AMOLED panel: Xiaomi lists 2712 × 1220 pixels at up to 120Hz on a 6.67-inch curved display. The POCO’s 6.9-inch screen is larger and has a higher stated refresh ceiling of 144Hz, but its listed resolution is 2340 × 1080 and the cited page calls it a DotDisplay rather than AMOLED.

That makes the choice a trade-off, not a simple specification win. Choose based on whether you value the POCO’s larger viewing area and higher maximum refresh rate or the Redmi’s AMOLED technology and higher resolution. The specifications alone do not establish which screen looks better in person.
How do the performance and network options differ?
The global POCO M7 listed here is a 4G device with a Snapdragon 685. Xiaomi India’s Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G uses a Dimensity 7300-Ultra and supports 5G bands listed on its India page. If 5G is important, that documented network difference is decisive between these two specific variants.

POCO lists a 7000mAh typical battery for the global M7, compared with 5500mAh typical for Xiaomi India’s Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G. The POCO therefore has the larger stated capacity. That figure alone cannot establish how long either phone lasts: screen size, display settings, network conditions, software and workload also affect runtime, and no comparable endurance test is available here.

For charging, the listed maximums are 33W for POCO and 45W TurboCharge for Redmi. Xiaomi India says the Redmi’s 45W adapter is included; POCO recommends using a compatible 33W adapter, so check the local package contents rather than assuming one is supplied. A charging-wattage figure by itself does not establish real-world charging time.
What do the camera specifications tell you?
The Redmi’s rear-camera set is more fully specified: a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera. Xiaomi lists video recording up to 4K at 30fps. POCO lists a 50MP main camera and video up to 1080p at 30fps, without an additional rear camera in the cited specification summary.

Redmi also lists a 20MP front camera to POCO’s 8MP. More megapixels do not, by themselves, prove better photos or selfies. The available specifications do not establish comparative image quality, so do not treat the camera-resolution or video-mode differences as a substitute for sample images or a direct camera test.

Protection, size and software support
Xiaomi India lists IP68 protection and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for its Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G. An IP rating is a laboratory classification under specified conditions, not a guarantee against damage in every exposure or a reason to handle the phone carelessly. The cited POCO global specifications do not establish an IP rating.

The global POCO M7 is listed as 169.48mm tall, 80.45mm wide and 214g. Xiaomi India lists the Redmi at 162.33mm tall, 74.42mm wide and 190g. On those figures, the cited POCO is larger in both height and width and weighs more; another market’s version may differ.
Xiaomi India states 3 years of software updates plus 4 years of security updates for the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G. The cited POCO global specification result does not state an update commitment. Check the support policy for the exact POCO model and market rather than assuming that information applies across the M7 family.
What is the price difference?
There is no reliable single price gap in the available listings because they do not form a like-for-like comparison. A 91mobiles comparison result displayed ₹12,499 for POCO M7 and ₹28,995 for Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G at Flipkart; Xiaomi India’s store search listing separately displayed ₹23,999 for the Redmi. Those are market snapshots from different listings, not a matched seller-and-configuration pair, and prices or stock can change.
