The POCO M7 Pro 5G is the stronger fit if you want an AMOLED display with higher resolution, a listed main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), or 45W charging. The Xiaomi Redmi A7 Pro 5G gives you a larger screen, a higher-capacity battery, microSD expansion and a published software-support commitment. There is no verified like-for-like price gap: Xiaomi’s catalog search result showed ₹14,999 for the Redmi, but a comparable current POCO price was not established.

Which phone has the better display?

POCO: sharper AMOLED panel

POCO lists a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel at 2400 × 1080 resolution and up to 120Hz. Its published display specification favors panel type and resolution, making it the more appealing choice if those details matter more than having the largest screen.

Redmi: more screen area

The Redmi’s display is 6.9 inches, with HD+ resolution and a refresh rate up to 120Hz. It is physically larger, but the lower stated resolution means the specification sheet does not support calling it sharper than the POCO. Pick it if screen size is your priority.

How do their performance and storage compare?

The POCO lists a MediaTek Dimensity 7025-Ultra chipset, while the Redmi India page lists an octa-core T8300 5G SoC; both are identified as 6nm chips. The published information does not include head-to-head benchmarks, so it cannot establish which phone is faster in everyday use or games.

The listed configurations also differ by source and market: POCO’s global page shows options up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, while Xiaomi India lists Redmi variants up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Confirm the exact local model before buying rather than assuming every listed configuration is available in your country.

What do the camera specifications tell you?

POCO specifies a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 2MP depth camera, plus a 20MP front camera. Redmi lists a 32MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. That describes hardware, not photo quality: megapixel counts alone do not show which phone takes better pictures, and no comparative photo testing is established here.

Battery capacity, charging and expansion

Redmi: greater stated capacity and microSD

Xiaomi lists a typical 6,300mAh battery, 15W charging, 7.5W wired reverse charging and microSD support up to 2TB for the Redmi A7 Pro 5G. These are listed capacities and power ratings, not measured battery runtimes or charging times.

POCO: higher rated wired charging power

POCO lists a typical 5,110mAh battery and 45W turbo charging. Its global specifications describe a hybrid SIM/microSD tray, while Xiaomi’s Redmi page specifies microSD support up to 2TB. Check local SIM and card arrangements if you plan to use two SIMs and expandable storage together.

Which has the clearer software-support commitment?

Xiaomi India lists the Redmi A7 Pro 5G with Android 16 and HyperOS 3.0, and states four years of Android updates plus six years of security updates. The retrieved POCO global specification page names Xiaomi HyperOS but does not state a comparable update duration. That does not establish that POCO will receive no updates; it means a matching duration is not provided on that page.

Is there a price difference in India?

A dependable price difference cannot be calculated from the available listing information. Xiaomi India’s catalog search result displayed ₹14,999 for the Redmi A7 Pro 5G, but that is a time-sensitive result rather than a guaranteed checkout price, and a matching current POCO M7 Pro 5G price was not verified. The catalog also lists a non-5G Redmi A7 Pro separately, so confirm the exact 5G model.

For a fair comparison, check current listings in the same market at the same time and match RAM and storage, seller, warranty and any bank or launch offers. The ₹14,999 catalog result is available at Xiaomi India’s Redmi A7 Pro 5G catalog search.

Which one should you choose?

  • Choose the POCO M7 Pro 5G if AMOLED and higher stated resolution, its OIS-equipped main-camera hardware, or 45W charging matter most. Check which memory and storage configuration is sold in your region.
  • Choose the Redmi A7 Pro 5G if you want a larger display, greater stated battery capacity, microSD expansion or the explicit update duration Xiaomi India publishes.
  • Do not pick solely on speed, camera quality or battery life. The available specifications do not provide comparative tests for those outcomes.
