The POCO M7 Pro is the cheaper phone on the listings we checked, at ₹14,999 against ₹19,499 for the Ai+ Nova 2 Pro 5G. It is also the better choice if you care most about the screen panel and charging speed. The Ai+ makes more sense if you want a bigger screen and the larger battery, and you can confirm the price is still in your favour on the day you buy.
The price gap, and why it is only a snapshot
A Gadgets Now comparison page, crawled in the week before 7 October 2026, shows the POCO M7 Pro 5G at ₹14,999 and the Ai+ Nova 2 Pro 5G at ₹19,499, a listed difference of ₹4,500. Gadgets 360 separately reported on 11 September 2026 that the POCO M7 Pro 5G costs ₹14,999 in its 6GB/128GB version and ₹16,999 in its 8GB/256GB version.

Poco M7 Pro 5G (512GB + 12GB) (for Tmobile Mint Tello & Global) 50MP Dual Sony Camera 6.67" 120Hz... | $279.99 | Buy on Amazon |
Treat these as dated listings, not guaranteed checkout prices. Ai+ announced its Nova 2 Pro 5G launch sales on 26 June 2026, with starting prices that include a ₹1,000 bank offer. A price that depends on a bank offer is not the same as an offer-free price, so compare the two phones with the same offer treatment applied.
The two phones also do not share the same storage options in the sources we found. POCO is listed in 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB versions. Ai+ is listed in 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB versions. Before you compare, check which memory configuration each price refers to. A 128GB version is the only storage size the two phones share.

| Display | 6.67-inch AMOLED, 2400×1080, up to 120Hz (official regional specifications) | 6.9-inch IPS LCD (comparison listing) | POCO offers the better panel type. Ai+ offers the larger screen. |
| Chipset | MediaTek Dimensity 7025-Ultra, up to 2.5GHz (official regional specifications) | MediaTek Dimensity 7100 (comparison listing) | The chip names do not tell you how the phone performs under sustained load. No matched benchmark comparison is available here. |
| Rear cameras | 50MP main with OIS, plus 2MP depth (official regional specifications) | 48MP main, plus 8MP (comparison listing) | The POCO lists optical stabilisation on the main camera. The Ai+ listing does not state this in the sources we found. |
| Front camera | 20MP | 13MP | Front-camera results depend on the processing, not the megapixel count. |
| Battery | 5110mAh typical | 6000mAh | Ai+ has the larger listed capacity. Actual endurance depends on use. |

| Operating system | HyperOS on Android 14 (comparison listing) | Android 16 (comparison listing) | Ai+ is on the newer Android release, according to the listing. |

Display: panel type versus screen size
The POCO M7 Pro uses a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel. AMOLED screens generally show deeper blacks and higher contrast than LCD panels, and the POCO’s 120Hz refresh rate makes scrolling smoother. The Ai+ Nova 2 Pro uses a 6.9-inch IPS LCD panel. That is a noticeably larger screen, which suits video and reading, but IPS LCDs typically show less contrast than AMOLED.
The choice comes down to how you use the phone. If you watch a lot of dark-scene video or read on the screen for long periods, the POCO panel is the better fit. If you mainly want more screen area for video calls, browsing, or split-screen use, the Ai+ gives you more to work with.
Battery and charging
The Ai+ has the bigger battery on paper: 6000mAh against the POCO’s 5110mAh typical rating. The POCO charges faster on paper, at 45W against 33W. A bigger battery does not guarantee longer use, because screen size, panel power draw, and software all affect how long the charge lasts. The sources we found contain no comparative endurance test, so the battery figures tell you capacity and charging rate, not how many hours each phone will last for you.
If you often charge in short bursts, the POCO’s faster charger matters more. If you rarely plug in during the day and want a larger reserve, the Ai+ specification is the stronger one.
Performance
Both phones use MediaTek chips in the same mid-range class: the POCO’s Dimensity 7025-Ultra and the Ai+’s Dimensity 7100. The sources we found contain no matched benchmark or sustained-performance test, so we cannot say which phone is faster in daily use. Judge performance on reviews that test both phones side by side, and weigh the 8GB option on the POCO only if you want that extra memory headroom.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Cameras
The POCO lists a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation and a 2MP depth sensor, plus a 20MP front camera. The Ai+ lists 48MP and 8MP rear sensors and a 13MP front camera. Megapixel figures do not show how the cameras perform in low light, in portraits, or in video. The listed hardware is the only camera detail we can confirm, so photo quality should come from side-by-side sample shots, not from the spec sheet.
Software and update support
The POCO runs HyperOS on Android 14, according to the comparison listing. The Ai+ is listed on Android 16. Android version alone does not decide the experience, but a newer base version usually means more time before the phone falls behind on OS features.

The update policies are where the phones differ most. The comparison listing gives POCO two years of OS updates and four years of security updates, and Ai+ one year of OS updates and two years of security updates. The Ai+ figures come from a secondary source and were not checked against an official Ai+ support policy. Check the update promise for the exact model and region you plan to buy, because policies can differ between markets.
Which phone to choose
- Choose the POCO M7 Pro 5G if you want AMOLED, faster charging, the lower listed price, and a longer stated update period.
- Choose the Ai+ Nova 2 Pro 5G if a larger LCD screen and the bigger battery matter more to you, and the current price is close enough to the POCO that the difference is worth paying.
Before you buy, check the price for the exact storage version you want on the same day for both phones, with the same offer applied. Search for “POCO M7 Pro 5G smartphone” on Amazon India to see the current listing, seller, and availability. The package contents may vary by market: POCO’s official listing includes an adapter, a USB-C cable, a SIM tool, and a protective case, but regional bundles can differ, so confirm what your seller includes.
The Ai+ launch announcement includes a quote from Madhav Sheth, CEO of Ai+ Smartphone and Founder of NxtQuantum Shift Technologies, describing the Nova 2 Neo and Nova 2 Pro as capable, well-designed and dependable phones. That is the company’s own description and not independent evidence of quality.
