On the listed specifications, the POCO M7 Plus 5G offers the stronger display, the larger battery, faster charging and the higher-resolution rear camera. The Redmi 15A 5G’s clearest advantage is its published software commitment from Xiaomi India: Android 16 with HyperOS 3, four Android updates and six years of security updates. A fixed price gap cannot be given reliably, because retail prices and stock for both phones vary by seller and configuration. Compare the two only at the same RAM and storage, and check the live price on the day you buy.

Display: higher resolution and refresh ceiling on the POCO
Both phones are listed at 6.9 inches, so the difference is in the panel’s pixel grid and its maximum refresh rate. The POCO M7 Plus 5G is listed at 1080 x 2340 (FHD+) with a ceiling of 144Hz. The Redmi 15A 5G is listed at HD+ with a ceiling of 120Hz. On paper, the POCO shows text and images more sharply and can run at a higher refresh rate in apps and games that support it.
A higher maximum does not mean the phone holds that rate all the time. Refresh rate behaviour depends on the software and the content on screen, and no hands-on panel assessment has been made for either phone here.

Processor: a chipset difference, not a verified performance result
The POCO M7 Plus 5G uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3, and the Redmi 15A 5G uses the Unisoc T8300. These are different chip families from different vendors, so the comparison is a real hardware difference. However, no benchmark or side-by-side speed test of these two chipsets is available, so neither phone can be named the faster one in everyday use based on the chip alone.
Cameras: the listed resolutions do not decide photo quality
The comparison listing gives the POCO a 50MP rear camera and the Redmi a 32MP rear camera. Both list an 8MP front camera. A higher megapixel count can mean more detail in good light, but sensor size, lens, processing and night performance all affect the result. Treat the rear-camera difference as a specification point only; no photo comparison supports a quality ranking.
Battery and charging: capacity is clear, endurance is not
The POCO M7 Plus 5G is listed with a 7000mAh battery and 33W charging. The Redmi 15A 5G is listed by Xiaomi India at 6300mAh typical capacity with charging up to 15W. The POCO therefore has the larger battery and the faster charger on paper.

Battery capacity and charging wattage do not measure how long a phone lasts. Screen resolution, refresh rate, chipset efficiency and usage patterns all change real-world runtime. Charging times at 33W and 15W were not measured here, so do not assume a specific time to full charge from the wattage alone.
Software support: Redmi has the clearer published commitment
Xiaomi India lists the Redmi 15A 5G with Android 16 and HyperOS 3, four Android updates and six years of security updates. This is the strongest verified support statement in this comparison. The comparison listing shows the POCO M7 Plus 5G on Android 15. An equivalent official POCO support commitment was not located, so the POCO’s update policy should be checked on the brand’s India site or the seller’s product page before buying if long-term updates matter to you.

Price difference: why a single figure is misleading
Comparison snapshots showed inconsistent prices for both phones, and the POCO’s stock status also varied between listings. Because of this, no single rupee difference can be stated as current. A difference of one price pair from one seller at one moment will not reflect what you pay later.
Price comparisons are only meaningful when both phones share the same RAM, storage and seller terms. Redmi 15A 5G configurations listed by Xiaomi India are 4GB+64GB, 4GB+128GB and 6GB+128GB. The POCO’s configurations were not confirmed in this comparison, so match the storage on the POCO listing to the Redmi variant you are considering.

- Choose one Redmi 15A 5G configuration, for example 4GB+128GB, from the Xiaomi India product page.
- Search for the POCO M7 Plus 5G and select the RAM and storage that match that configuration. If no match exists, note the nearest variant and treat the comparison as approximate.
- On each seller page, record the price, seller name, whether the phone is in stock, any bank or exchange offer, and the date you checked.
- Compare final payable prices, including any delivery or offer conditions, rather than the list price alone.
- Repeat the check on the day of purchase, because stock and offers change often.
Which phone fits which buyer
- Choose the POCO M7 Plus 5G if sharper display resolution, the higher refresh ceiling, the larger listed battery, faster charging or the higher-resolution rear camera matter most to you, and you are comfortable with the POCO’s update policy being unconfirmed on official pages.
- Choose the Redmi 15A 5G if a verified Xiaomi India update commitment matters most, with Android 16, four Android updates and six years of security updates, and you accept a lower-resolution display and smaller battery on paper.
- Do not decide on price alone until you have compared the same RAM and storage at the same seller on the same day.
Specifications, not measured performance, drive this comparison. For a purchase decision, read the seller’s current price and stock information directly, and check any review that tests the specific configuration you plan to buy.
