The POCO F7 is the stronger choice for listed processing hardware, screen resolution and wired charging, while the Samsung Galaxy A27 5G stands out for expandable storage, a three-camera rear setup and a defined software-support commitment. The price gap depends on country, storage configuration and seller: an India listing snapshot showed a ₹2,000 difference, but it was not a confirmed like-for-like comparison.

Which phone is faster?
POCO F7: higher-tier listed chipset
The POCO F7’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 is a higher-tier platform than the Galaxy A27 5G’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. That makes the POCO the more compelling option on paper for demanding apps and games. The cited material does not provide a comparable benchmark test, so it does not support a precise speed advantage or multiplier.
Galaxy A27 5G: everyday use, with no benchmark comparison established
The A27’s listed processor is a different, lower-tier platform, but chipset names alone do not establish how either phone performs in every app or workload. Choose based on your performance demands rather than assuming an exact real-world gap.

How do the screens compare?
Both phones are listed with refresh rates up to 120 Hz. The POCO F7 has the larger panel at 6.83 inches and the higher stated resolution, 2772 × 1280. Samsung specifies a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen. The POCO is the clearer specification-led pick if screen size and resolution are priorities; the listed refresh rate is the same.
Battery capacity and charging: check the POCO region
For the global POCO F7 review model, the cited figures are 6,500 mAh and 90 W wired charging. Samsung lists a 5,000 mAh typical battery and 25 W wired charging for the Galaxy A27 5G. The 91mobiles India comparison instead lists the POCO at 7,550 mAh, so do not treat either capacity as universal across POCO F7 versions. The figures describe capacity and charging specifications, not measured battery life or a tested charging time.

Which phone has the more useful cameras?
The Galaxy A27 5G lists three rear modules: a 50 MP OIS main camera, 5 MP ultra-wide and 2 MP macro. The reviewed global POCO F7 has a 50 MP OIS main camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide, with no third rear module listed in that source. Samsung therefore offers more listed rear-camera roles, while the POCO’s ultra-wide has a higher stated megapixel count. Neither module count nor megapixels alone proves which phone takes better photos; the cited evidence does not establish a direct camera-test winner.

Expandable storage
The Galaxy A27 5G is listed in 128 GB and 256 GB configurations and supports microSD cards up to 2 TB. The POCO F7 configurations in the comparison are 256 GB and 512 GB, with 12 GB RAM; the cited specifications do not list microSD expansion. If removable storage matters, Samsung has the documented advantage.

Software updates
Samsung promises up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades and up to six years of security updates from the Galaxy A27 5G’s initial global launch. The cited sources do not establish an equivalent POCO F7 support duration, so the Samsung commitment is the clearer long-term support promise in this comparison.
Water and dust ratings
The reviewed POCO F7 model is reported as IP68 by TechRadar; Samsung’s official specification table gives the Galaxy A27 5G an IP64 rating. These ratings apply to the specific models reported and should not be generalized across regional POCO SKUs without checking the exact product specification.

What is the price difference?
On 2026-10-07, 91mobiles displayed the POCO F7 at ₹35,999 on Flipkart and the Galaxy A27 5G at ₹33,999 on Amazon, a displayed ₹2,000 difference in India. Because the retailers differ and the storage configurations were not confirmed as matching, this is a dated listing snapshot—not a like-for-like premium or a universal price gap. Check the same country, storage tier, seller basis and date before deciding which costs less.
For context, TechRadar recorded a UK launch price of £389 for the POCO F7’s 12 GB/256 GB configuration on June 24, 2025, and stated a $399 equivalent. That is historical launch pricing, not a current offer. Samsung announced the Galaxy A27 5G on June 25, 2026, with availability from July 3 in select markets; its announcement did not give one universal price. Quick Recap
Which one should you choose?
- Choose the POCO F7 if you prioritize its higher-tier listed chipset, larger and higher-resolution screen, or faster wired charging—and have verified that the battery and other specifications match your regional SKU.
- Choose the Galaxy A27 5G if microSD expansion, the additional listed macro camera, or Samsung’s explicit update commitment matters more to you.
- Compare local prices carefully if cost is decisive: use matching storage tiers and the same retailer or seller basis rather than treating the India snapshot as a general price comparison.
