The POCO F7 is the more clearly performance-focused option on published specifications: Xiaomi lists a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip, a 6.83-inch 120Hz display, a 6500mAh typical battery and 90W charging. Motorola’s Edge 70 Fusion lists a faster 144Hz display and higher-resolution secondary cameras, but official Motorola pages disagree about its chipset and battery capacity. There is no reliable universal price difference: compare current offers in your country for the same storage tier and exact Motorola variant.

Which phone has the stronger performance specification?
The POCO F7 has the clearer performance advantage on paper: Xiaomi specifies the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, while Motorola’s pages identify either a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 or Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, depending on the page and region. That makes the F7 the more straightforward choice if your priority is a high-tier chipset specification.
This is a comparison of published specifications, not a benchmark result. No matched performance or thermal test establishes how the two phones behave under sustained workloads. Motorola’s chipset discrepancy also means buyers should check the product number and chipset on the local listing rather than assuming every Edge 70 Fusion uses the same processor.

Display: larger on POCO, higher refresh rate on Motorola
The POCO F7’s display is slightly larger at 6.83 inches, compared with 6.78 inches for the Edge 70 Fusion. Xiaomi specifies a 1.5K AMOLED panel with refresh rates up to 120Hz. Motorola UK lists a 2772 × 1272 AMOLED panel with refresh rates up to 144Hz and peak brightness up to 5200 nits; those figures are manufacturer-stated maxima, not a like-for-like independent measurement.

Choose based on what matters more to you: the F7’s larger stated screen or the Motorola’s higher refresh-rate ceiling. A higher maximum refresh rate does not, by itself, prove that a phone will look brighter or feel smoother in every app. If you can, compare the exact regional models in person, including the curved-screen design and brightness outdoors.
Battery and charging: verify the Motorola variant first
Xiaomi lists the POCO F7 with a 6500mAh typical-capacity battery and 90W HyperCharge. Motorola’s regional specifications are not consistent: its India and UK support pages list a 7000mAh battery and 68W charging, while its global announcement lists a 5200mAh battery. These figures should not be blended into one universal Edge 70 Fusion specification.
Motorola also publishes different estimated-use claims for these configurations: up to 52 hours on its India page and up to 50 hours on its UK page for the 7000mAh version, versus up to 39 hours in the global announcement. These are manufacturer claims tied to different regional materials, not comparable independent endurance tests. Battery capacity and charging wattage alone cannot establish real-world screen time or charging speed under your conditions.
Before buying the Edge 70 Fusion, verify the battery and charging figures on the product page or packaging for the precise SKU sold in your country. For the POCO F7, the published 6500mAh capacity is described as typical, so it should not be treated as a guaranteed usable capacity or a runtime figure.

Cameras: higher auxiliary resolutions do not settle image quality
The POCO F7’s listed rear setup is a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultrawide. Motorola India lists a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 main camera with OIS, a 13MP ultrawide and a 32MP selfie camera.
Motorola lists more megapixels for the ultrawide and selfie cameras, but resolution alone does not show which phone takes better photos. Sensor processing, lens performance and software matter too, and no direct camera comparison is established here. Treat the specifications as a guide to camera hardware, not a verdict on photo quality.

The POCO F7 configurations shown on Xiaomi Japan’s specification page pair 12GB of RAM with either 256GB or 512GB of storage. Motorola’s India page lists 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB configurations, while its UK listing specifies 8GB/256GB. A comparison can therefore change depending on which variants are available in your market.

What is the price difference?
There is no single current worldwide price difference to quote. TechRadar reported POCO F7 launch prices in 2025 of £389/$399 for the 12GB/256GB version and £429/$449 for the 12GB/512GB version. These are historical launch figures, not current prices or a matched comparison with the Motorola. Motorola’s global launch announcement does not give one worldwide price and directs customers to local information for price and availability. Motorola’s global announcement To find a meaningful difference, compare current prices in one country from comparable sellers, for the same storage tier and the exact Edge 70 Fusion variant. Do not calculate a present-day gap using a 2025 launch price or prices from different markets.
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the POCO F7 if you want the more clearly specified, performance-focused chipset, a slightly larger display, 90W charging, or an explicitly stated IP68 rating.
- Consider the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion if its up-to-144Hz display, listed camera resolutions, or a locally confirmed 7000mAh configuration better fits your priorities. Verify the chipset and battery capacity for the exact model before treating those specifications as settled.
- Make the decision on price only after matching the market and configuration. Compare current local offers for the same storage tier and confirm the Motorola SKU; the available historical POCO launch prices do not establish today’s price gap.
Neither specification sheet proves real-world battery endurance, camera superiority, sustained performance or overall value. Those comparisons require matched testing of the exact regional models.
