PlayStation Store’s “Player’s Choice” promotion is reported live on October 7, 2026, with discounts on PS5 and PS4 games. The schedule and prices vary by region: a Japanese sale catalog lists an end time of October 21 at 23:59 JST and says its discount rates are based on PS Plus membership. Check your own PlayStation Store account for the current price and deadline.

What is the Player’s Choice sale?

It is a digital PlayStation Store promotion featuring a selection of games at reduced prices, not a single game or a physical product. PlayStation Universe reported on October 7, 2026, that the current sale covers PS5 and PS4 games (PlayStation Universe report). That is a secondary report: the official Sony announcement available for comparison concerns the 2025 promotion, not this 2026 event (2025 PlayStation Blog announcement).

#	Product	Price
1	$100 PlayStation Store Gift Card [Digital Code]	$100.00	Buy on Amazon
2	$25 PlayStation Store Gift Card [Digital Code]	$25.00	Buy on Amazon
3	$50 PlayStation Store Gift Card [Digital Code]	$50.00	Buy on Amazon
4	$10 -PlayStation Store Gift Card [Digital Code]	$10.00	Buy on Amazon
5	$75 PlayStation Store Gift Card [Digital Code]	$75.00	Buy on Amazon

Accordingly, treat the 2026 sale details as reported rather than as terms confirmed by an official Sony announcement. The official Japanese Store page linked by the Japanese catalog is a storefront destination, but its captured page text does not show the offer details (Japanese PlayStation Store).

How long does the sale run?

A Japanese catalog published October 7, 2026, says the sale ends October 21, 2026, at 23:59 Japan Standard Time. That is the schedule reported for Japan; it should not be assumed to apply to other PlayStation Store regions (Japanese sale catalog). Check the offer page in your country’s store for its local deadline.

How to check a game’s actual sale price

Open the PlayStation Store for your country. Search for the game or open the sale listing; use the price shown in your own account and currency.
Check the membership price. The Japanese catalog says its displayed discount percentages are based on PS Plus membership and shows standard and PS Plus prices for some entries. Your account may show a different price depending on region and membership.
Confirm the exact item. Check whether the listing is for PS5, PS4, a cross-generation product, a bundle, or a particular edition. Compare like with like, including the edition’s contents.
Verify the offer on the game’s store page. The Japanese catalog notes that its collection may not capture PS Plus prices for games in the Game Catalog or Classics Catalog. The live store listing is the better place to confirm the price that applies to your account.

Why the reported discount ceiling needs care

PlayStation Universe’s October 7 headline says “up to 75% off,” but its visible list includes individual discounts of 80% and 85%. The Japanese catalog also lists some PS5 offers at 85%, identifying its displayed rates as PS Plus subscriber rates. These figures do not establish one universal maximum for every region or account. Treat them as source-specific listings, not guaranteed prices, and confirm the offer in the relevant regional store (PlayStation Universe report; Japanese sale catalog).
