Sony said PlayStation Now would support most 2014 BRAVIA TVs sold in the United States, with one named exception: KDL-R400B. Sony also demonstrated four PS3 games at CES 2014, but did not identify them as a launch lineup. A later announcement planned support for select Samsung Smart TVs in the United States and Canada during the first half of 2015.
Which BRAVIA TVs did Sony say were compatible?
In a January 8, 2014 announcement, Sony Computer Entertainment said most 2014 U.S. BRAVIA models would support PlayStation Now. Its footnote clarified that one of the nine U.S. models launching that year, the KDL-R400B, would not support the service. The announcement did not identify every compatible model in the cited text, so there is no complete model list to give here. Sony’s announcement
Could you play PlayStation Now on a Samsung TV?
Yes, Sony and Samsung announced on December 24, 2014 that PlayStation Now was planned for select Samsung Smart TVs in the United States and Canada in the first half of 2015. The proposed app would be available through Samsung Smart Hub and use a DUALSHOCK 4 controller. This was a rollout plan announced at the time, not confirmation of present-day app availability or compatibility with all Samsung TVs. Sony–Samsung announcement

How Sony described the TV service
PlayStation Now was described as a streaming service for PS3 games, initially planned for PS4 and PS3, then PS Vita, alongside most 2014 U.S. BRAVIA TVs. Sony also said it intended to extend the service to other internet-connected devices. Its proposed features included account-based access, cloud-hosted game progress and the ability to continue across supported devices. Sony presented both individual title rentals and a subscription as planned access options; these were historical plans, not a statement of current service terms. Sony’s PlayStation Now announcement

Peter Jamshidi, then PlayStation Now Director of Marketing, reported that private beta testers had logged more than 50,000 gameplay hours by the publication of that 2014 update. That was Sony’s historical beta report, not an independent measurement. May 2014 beta update
