The vivo T5 Pro is the pick on paper for a bigger 144Hz screen, a much larger battery and faster wired charging. The Google Pixel 10a is lighter and more compact, adds Qi wireless charging, and has Google’s stated seven-year update commitment. On price, the gap depends on which date and storage variant you compare: Google’s Pixel launch price was ₹49,999, while vivo’s 8GB+128GB T5 Pro was listed for ₹41,999 on its India e-store on 7 October 2026.
India price difference: compare the date and storage tier
These figures are snapshots, not a like-for-like statement of today’s checkout prices. Google announced a ₹49,999 India launch price for the Pixel 10a on 18 February 2026, with availability starting 6 March 2026. vivo’s launch release on 21 April 2026 listed three T5 Pro 5G prices; its 8GB+128GB model had an effective launch price of ₹27,999 subject to offer terms.
| Phone and variant | Price | Price context |
|---|---|---|
| Google Pixel 10a | ₹49,999 | Google’s India launch price, announced 18 February 2026; availability began 6 March 2026. Google India announcement |
| vivo T5 Pro 5G, 8GB+128GB | ₹29,999 | vivo India launch price, 21 April 2026; the release also cited an effective ₹27,999 price subject to offer terms. vivo India launch release |
| vivo T5 Pro 5G, 8GB+256GB | ₹33,999 | vivo India launch price, 21 April 2026. vivo India launch release |
| vivo T5 Pro 5G, 12GB+256GB | ₹39,999 | vivo India launch price, 21 April 2026. vivo India launch release |
| vivo T5 Pro 5G, 8GB+128GB | ₹41,999 | vivo India e-store listing observed 7 October 2026; the same page showed other variants but did not expose a reliable current price for each. vivo India e-store |
Subtracting the observed vivo e-store price from Google’s announced Pixel launch price gives ₹8,000. Comparing the two launch prices for the 8GB+128GB T5 Pro and Pixel gives ₹20,000. Neither subtraction establishes the current live gap: the dates differ, and the vivo listing is for a specific storage tier. Check both sellers’ current prices, offers and exact configurations before buying.

Which phone makes more sense for your priorities?
Choose the vivo for screen size and listed battery capacity
The T5 Pro’s 6.83-inch display is substantially larger than the Pixel’s 6.3-inch panel, and vivo lists a 144Hz refresh rate compared with the Pixel’s adaptive 60–120Hz range. Its stated 9,020mAh battery also exceeds the Pixel’s 5,100mAh typical capacity. Those figures make the vivo the stronger on-paper fit if a large screen and high battery capacity matter most. Capacity and advertised playback claims do not, by themselves, establish how long either phone will last in your use.
Choose the Pixel for a smaller, lighter phone and documented updates
At 183g, the Pixel is 30g lighter than the 213g T5 Pro, and its smaller screen makes it the more compact option on these specifications. Google also documents seven years of OS, security and Pixel Drop updates for the Pixel 10a. The reviewed official vivo pages identify OriginOS 6.0 but do not state a comparable support duration; that is not proof that vivo has no support policy.

Charging is a wired-speed versus wireless choice
vivo specifies 90W wired FlashCharge and gives a launch-release figure of up to 50% in 37 minutes under its stated conditions. Google describes charging the Pixel to 50% in about 30 minutes using a 45W USB-C PPS charger or higher, sold separately, and lists Qi-certified wireless charging. The advertised figures use different conditions and should not be treated as a controlled charging comparison.
Do not pick a camera from megapixels alone
The rear-camera setups differ: Google lists a 13MP ultrawide alongside its 48MP wide camera, while vivo’s store listing identifies a 2MP bokeh auxiliary camera with its 50MP main camera. vivo lists a higher-resolution front camera. These specifications do not show which phone produces better photos or video. For a camera-led decision, compare independent same-scene samples, including low light, moving subjects, video and selfies.

What to check before paying
- Match the storage tier first. Prices for 128GB and 256GB configurations should not be treated as interchangeable.
- Compare the live seller price, bank or exchange offers, warranty and seller terms on the same day. Launch prices and a later e-store listing are separate snapshots.
- Confirm the exact regional T5 Pro SKU if IP68/IP69 protection is important to you.
- Check the box contents and charging setup. vivo’s official store lists a charger, phone case, protective film and eject tool in the box; Google’s stated Pixel fast-charge benchmark requires a separately sold compatible charger.
- If long-term software support is decisive, ask vivo for an official support-duration statement for the specific T5 Pro variant rather than inferring one from the operating-system version.
