PIA plans to resume direct Islamabad–Beijing service on Friday, October 30, 2026. The reported schedule is weekly, but planned flights can change; check PIA’s current booking system before making travel arrangements.
What PIA’s announced service includes
Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) reported on October 2, 2026, that PIA plans to operate the Islamabad–Beijing–Islamabad route every Friday. AeroRoutes’ Northern Winter 2026/27 schedule listing gives the following planned timings in local time:

These are published planned timings and equipment, not a guarantee for a particular date or booking. AeroRoutes notes that airlines periodically modify planned operations, so verify the flight details with PIA before travel.

Beijing connections to other Chinese cities
APP says PIA’s cooperation with Air China and Shenzhen Airlines can provide onward access from Beijing to more than 25 cities in China. That figure is attributed to PIA through APP; it does not mean every destination is available on every date or fare. The report does not name the cities or specify whether a particular booking includes a protected connection, through-ticketing, or other connection terms. Confirm those details with PIA or the booking channel before purchasing.

How to book and what to confirm
APP says tickets are available through PIA offices, authorised travel agents and major online booking platforms. The October reports do not provide live fares or the applicable baggage, cancellation or change rules. Check the terms attached to the specific itinerary you are considering.
- Confirm the operating date, weekday, flight numbers and timings in PIA’s current booking or schedule system.
- Check the fare conditions, baggage allowance, and change or cancellation rules for your ticket.
- If travelling beyond Beijing, verify the onward city, transfer arrangements, connection time and whether the itinerary is sold as a through-ticket.
- If comparing a direct flight with a connecting itinerary, compare total journey time, departure and arrival times, fare conditions, checked baggage, connection protection and onward destination coverage.
Why this is a later return in 2026
The October restart is not the route’s first reported return in 2026. Radio Pakistan and APP reported on June 5 that direct service was due to resume on July 3. AeroRoutes’ later seasonal schedule plan listed a suspension from September 12, followed by the Northern Winter 2026/27 restart now announced for October 30. The October date therefore follows an earlier planned summer resumption and a subsequent seasonal suspension.
