The Philips 65PUL7985/F7 is a 65-inch 4K QLED television with Roku OS, Ambilight, Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG. Philips lists four HDMI inputs and a 4K/60 Hz video-input limit. Its published specifications establish what the TV offers on paper, but they do not establish measured picture, gaming or audio performance—so whether it is worth buying depends on its price and how its verified features match your needs.
What is the Philips 65-inch 7985 model number?
The exact model is Philips 65PUL7985/F7. Philips identifies it as a 65-inch 7985 Series Ambilight QLED UHD Roku TV. The visible screen diagonal is specified as 64.5 inches. Do not confuse it with the Philips 65PUL7875/F7, a different Ambilight Roku model that appears in Philips and Roku listings. Philips product specifications and the Roku TV finder provide model context.
What does the TV offer?
Picture and display
Philips specifies an LCD QLED Ultra HD panel with a resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels. Listed HDR formats are Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG. The sheet also lists “120 PMR,” Philips’s motion-processing specification. That label is not evidence of a native 120 Hz panel: Philips lists HDMI video input up to 3840 × 2160 at 60 Hz. The published specifications do not give measured brightness, contrast, black level, color accuracy, reflection handling or motion performance. Philips’s 65PUL7985/F7 specification sheet is version 4.4.1, issued June 5, 2026, and notes that specifications may change without notice.

The TV runs Roku OS. Philips lists Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Ethernet, an antenna input, composite video input, a headphone output and a digital optical audio output. It has four HDMI inputs, with eARC/ARC on HDMI 1, and one USB 2.0 input. Philips specifies HDMI computer input up to 4096 × 2160 at 60 Hz and HDMI video input up to 3840 × 2160 at 60 Hz. These published limits make the set a 4K/60 Hz option on paper, not a documented 4K/120 Hz display.

For USB playback, Philips lists AAC, AC3/EAC3, H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC, JPG, MP3, PCM, PNG and GIF formats. The specification does not establish which Roku channels are currently available or how the interface performs in use.
Ambilight and sound
The 65PUL7985/F7 is specified as an Ambilight model. TechRadar’s general coverage describes Ambilight on a Philips Roku TV as rear lighting that follows on-screen action, but it is not a test of this exact model. TechRadar’s October 1, 2025 article offers that broader product context; it does not establish a particular viewing benefit for the 65PUL7985/F7.

Philips lists Dolby Atmos, stereo and SAP, with two built-in speakers. Those are format and configuration details, not listening results: the sheet provides no speaker power, measured loudness or dialogue-clarity assessment.
Does the Philips 65PUL7985 support 4K at 120 Hz?
Philips’s published HDMI video-input specification is up to 4K UHD (3840 × 2160) at 60 Hz. The sheet’s “120 PMR” wording refers to Philips’s motion-processing specification; it does not verify a native 120 Hz panel or 4K/120 input support. If you need 4K/120 Hz for a console or PC, this specification sheet does not establish that the TV meets the requirement.

How does it fit, and what wall mount does it use?
Philips lists a 400 × 300 mm wall-mount pattern. Check that a mount supports this pattern and the TV’s weight, and verify the required mounting hardware before installation. The specified body width is 56.9 inches, so measure the intended location and allow for clearance.

The stand feet span a listed width of 49.7 inches. Philips says the box includes two stand feet, screws, remote control, remote batteries, and quick-install and start guides. Listed power consumption is 186 W, standby consumption is below 0.5 W, and the rated supply is 120 V/60 Hz; these are manufacturer specifications, not independent energy measurements.

Is the Philips 65-inch 7985 worth buying?
The specifications make the 65PUL7985/F7 a plausible fit if you want a large 4K QLED Roku TV with Ambilight, Dolby Vision and four HDMI ports, and do not require documented 4K/120 Hz input. They are not enough to judge whether its picture, sound, gaming response or reliability is good in practice. No exact-model independent measurements are established by the sources cited here.
Before buying, compare the current price and availability with competing TVs, then look for independent results covering brightness and contrast, HDR performance, reflections, color accuracy, upscaling, gaming latency and sound. Roku’s TV finder organizes models by factors including screen size, price, resolution, QLED, HDR, Dolby Vision, Mini-LED and Ambilight, but its surfaced Philips 65PUL7875/F7 is not the same model. Do not apply another model’s review findings to the 65PUL7985/F7.
