Where does the story take place?
The story is set in Inaba, a quiet rural Japanese town central to Persona 4’s identity. The available official descriptions emphasize returning to Inaba and spending a year there; they do not provide new plot details that would support a more specific account of the remake’s story.

Wada’s statement describes the intended continuity of the core experience. It does not confirm complete scene-by-scene parity with Golden. The official materials cited here do not specify which Golden-specific scenes, additions, or features are retained, changed, or omitted. Official descriptions call Revival a modern reimagining, and the showcase recap points to updated visuals. Those statements support expecting a newly presented version of Inaba and the game, but they do not establish a full list of changes to combat, social systems, exploration, or other mechanics. A definitive feature-by-feature comparison with Persona 4 Golden is not available from these materials.

ATLUS lists separate release dates for the platforms it currently names. Its site says physical copies are limited to PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. Store and regional availability can differ, so check the local official listing for the edition you plan to buy.
