Yes. Perforce completed its acquisition of Delphix on March 25, 2024, adding enterprise data-management and test-data capabilities to its DevOps portfolio. The purchase price was not disclosed.
When did Perforce acquire Delphix?
Perforce announced a definitive agreement to acquire Delphix on February 14, 2024. The deal closed on March 25, 2024, so it is a completed acquisition, not a pending proposal. Perforce did not disclose the financial terms.
What does Delphix do?
Delphix provides an enterprise data-management platform centered on data virtualization: making data available to teams and applications without relying on a separate full copy for every use. Its capabilities include data masking, automation, governance, compliance, and on-demand access to data across the application lifecycle.

Data masking and governance are especially relevant when development or testing teams need usable data while organizations must manage sensitive information and compliance obligations.

Why did Perforce buy a data-virtualization company?
The strategic fit is the role of data in software delivery. Development and testing teams need reliable, representative data in order to validate application changes. Delays in obtaining suitable data can slow testing and releases; using sensitive production data without appropriate controls can create privacy and compliance risks.
Perforce said Delphix would strengthen infrastructure automation, self-service test environments, continuous testing, and shift-left delivery by helping teams work with accurate, compliant test data. In announcing the agreement, Perforce CEO Jim Cassens said Delphix would add data-management capabilities to help enterprise organizations build an automated and accelerated DevOps pipeline.
Perforce also said applications could be released “up to 200% faster” with Delphix-supported data practices. That is Perforce’s company-reported claim, not an independently verified benchmark; the announcement did not provide a testing methodology for the figure. Perforce’s statement that more than 30% of Fortune 100 companies had transformed application development with Delphix is likewise a company-reported customer figure, with no methodology provided in the release.
What happened to Delphix after the acquisition?
Delphix became part of Perforce’s portfolio, and its data-management capabilities remain relevant to enterprise software development and testing. In September 2026, Perforce announced Delphix Synthetic Data, indicating continued product investment and an extension of the product line toward AI-oriented test-data generation.
Rank #3
For organizations evaluating Perforce Delphix, the practical question is whether its data virtualization, masking, governance, and synthetic-data capabilities fit their own testing, analytics, or AI workflows. The acquisition announcements establish Perforce’s strategic intent and subsequent product activity; they do not, by themselves, establish performance gains for any particular customer environment.
